I picked my son up a Hyper Go H16BM 1/16. It's been decent but we've busted some stuff. Body posts definitely don't last. Nice little rig though, came with two shells and some spare parts. Thanks for the share, great stuff as always!
Good to see you posting vids. I appreciate the info, just ordered the v2 it was decent enough price to take a shot. If they ask 400 u.s. they are insane, i doubt very many will buy it. There's way better supported brands here for less.
Thank you for the video Razor. Very well put together. I don’t know a whole lot about RC cars since I’m new but will neutral/0° anti squat make it somewhat better in the rear ? Just temping to try metal arms to see if it’ll improve this since they won’t have the flex.
From the first run I saw it has reminded me of the Maxx Slash. Suspension wise they both bounce and slap like little mini bashers. It's barely above the little ones with friction shocks. The amount of travel isn't utilized. I'm really disappointed. I really wanted to be excited about this truck and do my part to support the company. I'm just not and won't. I do hope they keep trying and keep building larger scale rigs. I prefer large scale stuff and the big companies are neglecting that segment. It's all about the mini stuff.
Excellent video! Thanks for giving this little truck your attention and putting out another great video! It might not be TLR but there's some value packed in there. Btw I meant to say +20mm TOTAL, ±10mm each arm. Keep up the good work!
I know price is a issue but other than that seems to be a decent truck, as solid as possible, over built where needed, yeah not perfect but definitely decent, that soft arm issue though could cause a problem if not treated right.
I was really hoping this was going to be a good truck as I'm new to rc cars and have the mjx hyper 16208 and that's been very good so far. I want a 1:10 scale now to and this seemed ideal but I actually think I will give it a miss and buy a granite or a rival mt10. Thanks for the review though
At least look at the Redcat Valkyrie. It's bigger than the 3s Arrma line and 4s capable for $300 out the door if you order direct from Redcat. I'm an Arrma fanboy and feel that way. You gotta step up to the 4s Arrma trucks for $450 to match the Redcat.
Hint: You can get these for under $200 if you have the patients to wait on shipping from China. No 1/10 RC car can beat that price and the features. My Slash is similar at $500 and it doesn't have a center diff like this one (I ordered the center diff upgrade for it yesterday, lol). You can't beat the non-Amazon price, it is as cheap as the new brushless Grom that is supper basic with out even a slipper. Is it perfect? Nope, but nothing is.
@@Hutch_Davenport I'm definitely thinking about it still. This or the omni terminator. I'm new to rc cars mjx 16208 has been great I really can't fault it. I just want something a bit bigger now for the bmx track. The 16208 will definitely be staying. I have the upgraded steel diffs, pinion and spur ordered for that to
This looks like a decent alternative to the Omni Terminator. If they're the same price that is. The Rlaarlo looks like a better quality truck but this is a little bigger and more power. Any more than $250 and there is no reason to get this over the Redcat Valkyrie for $300.
You can get it without a battery for 199.. Slow shipping though or you can pay 239 for faster shipping lol No way in hell would I pay a extra 200 for a fricn battery and a cheapO charger 😂 You can get a decent charger and good battery for less than 100 bucks lol Imo I think it’s a decent deal at 199.. seems pretty tough and plenty fast and it handles pretty dang good for its size..
I paid around $330 for it only because I wanted v2 straight from MJX with one battery. I've seen offers on AliExpress for older versions for around $230
You don't notice a difference in chassis flex? That is the main thing they did. You should have flex the chassis and compared them. It is disappointing when you can tell reviews are just looking for faults because it isn't a big brand name. What a shame.
I noticed in the way it drove and talked a decent amount how it is more consistent and stable. That's how a stiffer chassis shows up in the way it drives. It's a shame when someone just looks for random little things to criticize a video over and doesn't understand when a reviewer is already thinking past that into what effect it has on the driving characteristics.
@@RazorRC You clearly state you didn't know what changes they made. Notice how I didn't not complain about your V1 review? Because it was fair criticism. You shouldn't have uploaded the the V2 video or even accepted the free car since you weren't interested in reviewing it.
@@Hutch_Davenport I literally asked MJX what was different and they wouldn’t tell me. But yeah that’s my problem, send me your address and I’ll send you the car, I apologize for making a video about how the car actually DRIVES differently.

$400NZ on Banggood. Conversion rate makes that $240 US which seems about right for a truck that seems good but not great.
Bought this for 220€ including shipping from China to Belgium. Think it's a good deal
Still the best 400 aus I have spent ever 100%!!!
10x stronger than my traxxas stampede
Thank you for your review, much appreciated. If the price is 400$, I think is a little expensive.

I hope that's not $400 US. Not with the Redcat Valkyrie and Team Corally Syncro run 4s and are cheaper. And Arrmas 3s line are cheaper.
This truck bounces so much. MJX should have named it "Tigger"
The videos I’ve watched I’ve also noticed that as well
@@ronswitzer6057Let's see if one of these RUclips dudes come up with a solution.

I've pulled my whole car apart, center bar only issue.
Nothing some rubbing alcohol won't dissolve and ake life easy!

on banggood how to determine if the one they are selling is V1 or V2?
would you recommend me this car if i am in a area where i cant get any new parts, just bash it u
ntil its done
Seems odd to have the shocks mount on the inside of the arms making them twist lie that

It’s cool but $400. Not a chance
Arrma 3s all day brother
So I'm thinking the rear bend in the arms is why mine looks like it's higher at the front rear must have banana'd
Not worth $400
