    My favorite rolling stones song for sure played it 10 years ago needed the refresher. Seems like I play for a couple years and then 10 years later I'm like lost. How bout walking in Memphis cover.

    Always a pleasure to listen to your tutorials! (Btw could you do one for
    Golden Brown by The Stranglers?)

      This is on my list! I think I'm procrastinating because it is pretty difficult/complicated haha. I'll give it another go

      You can't go wrong with the Stranglers. I'd love to be able to play Dave Greenfields soaring arpeggios. "Grip" would be a great option too, as would "Duchess" and "Something Better Change".

    Hey Nate - This is an older video but all motivated for the Stones after seeing them Tuesday night in Philly. Anyway, curious why you didn't use more inversions and stuck with more root position chords? Was it because they matched the tone/rhythm of the song better? Example I'm thinking of is the Bm to G where the G 1st inversion is right underneath the Root Bm. Maybe once I play it along with a track it will make more sense.

    • @PianowithNate
      @PianowithNate 3 месяца назад +1

      Wow how was the show??? You know, I dont feel strongly about the inversions for this one. Feel free to experiment. Sometimes with simple songs like this I like to keep everything root position since that it is more approachable for some beginner players

      @@PianowithNate BTW the show was great. I saw them twice before. First time was during the Voodoo Lounge Tour in 1994. I sold my wife on going by telling her "hey, there's a real good chance this is gonna be the last time these guys tour so it's now or never..." Three decades later. I did say to her again "hey..." she quickly cut me off and said get tickets, save the sales pitch for when U2 comes around. This show was a bit more stripped back. While still quite a production like all there shows it was dialed back from what I saw during Voodoo Lounge and Bigger Bang. There was no acoustic set and the stage was a bit less overdone - which was fine by me.
