It would help a lot if the operator wasn't ham handed. The second cut I am loading the saw extra hard to see how wide the power band is. I really dislike narrow power bands for work saws. I like how you can get way too aggressive with this saw and it will recover without having to taking all the pressure off it.
completely agree with the wide power band the torque should definately be there when it drops below the 6 thou when those 200 series ran right they ran right just tough saws u cant kill them and they pull chain like the husqvarna's were repd for over the stihls and their balance and weight . i got a 51 that was rebuild with window piston and closed port 44 mm mahle i believe. i re honed that cylinder and piston was great, and i put it on a 55 crankcase because the 51 bottom end was tired
55 crank case was a bit lighter it runs about 165 psi and muffler moded just a nice saw that would smoke any 55 46mm, stock anyways, runs 18 3/8 all day really good on fuel too i dont run it often much because that window piston is really hard to come by
Still the baddest 288 on RUclips.
Nice running 288 Shaun! (I'm RIDE-RED 350r from OPE, you did my 394 cylinder)
Alway enjoyed running a 288XP great saw of the stump plenty of power running a 32 inch bar in medium sized timber. Shoe
WILD

Pretty realistic testing because most operators will be heavy handed and not keep sharp chains
Holy hell!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯

that saw rips man bit still that 8 pin is almost too much for the the stroker but the saw pulls it
