I am an INFJ and absolutely identified with all of those descriptions you gave. Not because I want to identify with them but truthfully through examination of myself. I am now even more encouraged!
I completely relate as an INFJ myself. This was so balanced and I love that you emphasized the importance of putting our ultimate hope in Jesus. While we are wired differently, our identity in Christ is not being an INFJ. I have personally struggled with evangelism but found one on one interactions over time, more rewarding. Please post more on the subject. I have read that we are the most misunderstood personality types and often don't understand ourselves, so I'm looking forward to checking out the podcast and your INFJ guide.
This is all so accurate (love discipleship, struggle with Evangelism, went through an apologetics phase, love studying Scripture, etc) And I love that you talked about Conformed to His Image! I had taken a Spiritual Formation class years ago, and that was one of the assigned books - it was by far my favorite book from the class. I had already been interested in discipleship, but that book especially made me love it!
Thank you for doing this video. The evangelism gifting hit me hard. It has always been my #1 struggle. I'm much better one on one and I love Apologetics. The Lord has truly been putting these types of encounters and opportunities in front of me lately. It's much too numerous and too diverse to be a coincidence, which I do not believe in. I can tell you're an INFJ because you often don't look at the camera but off to the side. That is so INFJ.
Thank you so much for sharing this from this perspective. I always wondered how it should look from a Christian’s perspective. I would love to hear more about INFJ personality’s from a Christian based viewpoint.
Interesting. I'm a 65 year old INFJ. I live alone (with my cat) and am very happy. I do not socialize, have few friends but a lively batch of adult children and their families, and we communicate daily. In my Christian walk, I had to chuckle at your description of having deep long devotionals and the challenge of "stranger" evangelism. So "me". I marvel at my sister who immediately talks about the gospel message when she meets someone. I also find that I don't want to be influenced by other humans when i study God's word, or even when i create. I don't usually follow patterns or recipes...preferring for my creation to not be a copy of someone else's. This applies to my spiritual life as well. I am not much swayed by human tradition as I am by the teaching of God's spirit as i study his word. If I find something in the Bible that needs more explanation i might look at a variety of sources but end up believing what I feel is being taught by the spirit, even if it is against the mainstream. Yep. Confirmed weirdo here!! (I thought INFJ stood for Insatiable Need For Jesus)
Very good to see this! I've thought a lot about the INFJ Christian relationship, and I think it goes very deep and is critical to the Kingdom. More to follow from me, but I just wanted to say something while I had moment. Thank you for this, Yah bless!
Discernment, knowledge, and wisdom...those are the exact gifts that I was blessed with. When you said them I was wowed! I have a spiritual warfare website where I help people. I can get the truth out without having to walk up to strangers. I think it's a perfect fit for me. Like the others in the comments, I'd also love to hear more from you on this subject. Thanks for putting yourself out there! I'm off to get that book...
I find that when im in the word ... i fall more away from the world, allowing me to find safety, comfort and love. Its already difficult enough being an INFJ in such a broken world, going to the Lord and seeking growth in the spirit allows me to find belonging and purpose. I find safety when in the word and Yashua softens my heart allowing me to see more deeply in the truth and strengthens me so i can better endure these days. I praise the Lord for giving us his only Son so that we are able to get through such dark times. He gives us hope in our sufferings.🩶
Good stuff brother. I definitely resonate with this subject matter as a Christian INFJ myself. I get the impression that you are pretty astute theologically so it’s good to hear your perspective on things that pertain to us as Christian’s and as INFJ’s. A lot of people seem to believe that Jesus had an INFJ type personality, perhaps one day you can do a video that examines that idea using some examples from his earthly ministry.
I always appreciate your videos. I'm still trying to understand my personality and how it changes my interactions in marriage and my work. However, I'm glad you also emphasize what's most important in life, Jesus Christ and our relationship with Him. It also gives your videos more credibility to me because I know they are rooted in ultimate Truth.
I really enjoyed this! I would really enjoy more content like this, because being a Christian means we always look at life through the lenses of our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Thank you so much for this video ! It is a rare content on the internet! And I resonate so much to the things you said. Like the difficulty with direct evangelism haha. I normally tend to share my faith after I see the person is interested in this subject or if we are friends already. And the apologetics thing, oh my ! So true ! I'm in my early 20s right now and more and more I'm looking into it! And the thing about facets of faith----- so cool. I've been realizing this more and more cause for example I've always struggled to pray aloud, and this is the only kind of prayer I was ever taught. But recently I started Journaling my prayers and this just worked so well for me, and I feel so connected to the Lord! For sure each person has their specific way of praising and relating to God. And I've been thinking that this is actually wonderful, cause God likes variety! And different persons praise and relate to him differently ! Plurality ! And the discipleship or teaching thing, accurate as well. I've been teaching younger people then me for many years now! Thank you so much !! I hope you can do more videos like this ! Maybe Bible characters that were INFJ (😆)
So much I could say here but THANK you is most appropriate. I have been in a dark, frustrated place lately. Having someone speak my language was immensely helpful. So thank you again. ❤
YES and AMEN brother!!!! Another INFJ who is Christian🤩 I think i found my tribe. For a moment there I thought we were a rarity! TYSM for posting and sharing this video. It was SO refreshing and encouraging! God Bless You 🙏🙏🙏
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we have been focusing on studying the Old Testament this year, and I have really enjoyed studying the word. Thank you for this channel, I feel like I have learned some valuable things about my self from listening to your videos. I am grateful for your good example of trying to follow our Savior Jesus Christ!
Thank you brother Bo for this special video. I am as well INFJ, and I am studying theology and organic agriculture. I am glad to hear your opinion, and I find it so helpful.
Thank you for making this and sharing these resources. I just got the book on audible and subscribed to the podcast. I have always enjoyed your videos. And when you talked about particular common spiritual giftings, that completely resonated. Also when you mentioned teaching, that resonated with where I feel God is leading me but I'm completely scared to step into it. Also, as an older INFJ I do find myself leaning way more toward apologetics and a whole understanding of the gospel. It's begun to frustrate me that I see so many Christians, even leaders, who don't know or understand the gospel of Jesus. Thank you for this video. I needed this today as encouragement to keep going and know I'm not crazy lol or grasping at straws. 😂
The discipleship like others too here is an interesting topic. My grandfather was a priest and we had that connection. Now I would like to have that with somebody too.
INFJ Christian here 🤗Thanks so much for this! You presented the Gospel really well and mentioned many important points in biblical faith. I have been subscribed for at least 2 years now and always loved your insights but this really made my day today! God bless you 😊🙏
I really appreciated this! The topic could be a great new niche. Perhaps you can go into the INFJ cognitive functions as they relate to Christianity and spirituality.
Now it is exactly a year ago when i discovered the mbti community and this is the first i find about this topic. Somehow it didn't appear although i was searching for it several times. Thanks a lot, there's many things i recognise.
Hi, Joshua! Thanks! I do. Here's some more information: ispeakpeople.com/mentoring/ The sessions don't have to be limited to the topics mentioned either.
makes sense that we can attempt to adapt to other personality type because INFJ's have an ability to mirror others personality while applying Bible principles. Mirroring does not mean to copy but by biblical principle example how we can step out of our mind and be more like Jesus. It takes a lot of energy on our part to transform our mind but we have such immense capacity to do so.
As an infj I can confirm I feel connection to how the view of this is dedicated. (Im not trying to identify as anything special I am just saying this Is where I feel I'm finally recognized in all my life in my world.)
Definitely worth it! Mentoring relationships don't have to be a formal or contraction agreement either. They can be organic: You can just offer to help some one you want to spend time with and learn from. Then, the relationship may become formal mentoring - or it might not. That's something I wish I'd have known earlier.
I'm not one and when I realize their identity, I put distance between us as soon as I can. I don't care what they have to say, and they don't want to hear me. I won't waste their time and they won't waste mine. Works just fine for me.
So you're starting point I'm just curious after you get saved and baptized do you just turn around and go back out to the world or do you serve God pick up your cross every day

I’m a born again Christian. I have had a hard life trying to understand why my struggles have been so hard. At 64 years old I have learned that the things of this world do not matter. This will all pass away. The rewards you speak of are meaningless. Only God matters. Jesus said no man comes to the Father but through him. Jesus lived. Jesus was a teacher, Jesus healed the lame, the blind and brought people back from the dead. He was sacrificed on a cross for our sins. He died. He rose from the dead. He was with us for 40 days before He ascended into heaven. Hundreds of people saw him after he rose from the dead. I follow Yeshua/Jesus. He is the way, The truth and The life.
