This is an EXCELLENT video! The only problem is you instructed to remove the filter clockwise, which is incorrect. It's "righty tighty lefty loosey" if you're looking at it from underneath the sink. Outside of that it was very straightforward and accurate. The only downside I can see with this type of system is a a slight drop in water pressure on the cold side and the fact that it's static, so if you're doing something arbitrary like washing dishes you can't just shut it off, which means you're wasting filtered water, but at 800 gallons and $35 a filter it beats the pants off of the faucet mounted systems, especially considering they tend to wear out the diverter valve in my experience so you're going to be replacing either that or the faucet itself every two years which is $150 for a two handle system with a sprayer.
Thanks for the comment. And this system uses an additional faucet as opposed to being in line with you cold. So yes there is a big pressure drop but since it’s for drinking water it’s not too much of a problem.
I have a 3 M water filter head, when I hooked up the filter to the head, the water not only flows out of the output to the faucet, but also leaks from the small tube, and got the under sink cabinet wet everywhere, now the water filter head becomes a junk. How to fix it?
Thank you! Great explanation! Very easy to understand and follow! I followed your instructions and successfully reinstalled the water filter 😁

If I am getting low water pressure, is it possible to clean this filter out to reuse it? I am not using this water to drink.
No. You need to replace the filter part (the cartridge)
