Um.. just incase your wondering....The guitarist Nick Littleton is also in Empire of the Sun as well as Peter Mayes. Peter does some production work for Empire of the Sun. In this particular song, vocals are done by Luke Steele of Empire of the sun. Knowledge is everything.
That's cool but a better fun fact is how this was Nick *Littlemore* and Luke Steele's first song together. Nick wrote on Myspace about how inspired he was by Luke after recording this song. This song is literally the reason Empire of the Sun even exists as a group. Their Walking on a Dream album was their magnum opus to me. Unfortunately, they haven't yet been able to recapture that level of sonic greatness again.
@@garydlinger7013 They have three albums bro lol And that's fine. Personally I couldn't really get behind the second two. The first album was absolute magic and damn near every single song was a hit that made me feel like I was on another planet. Especially while high lol The other albums just felt like regular old commercial indie music to me.
@@banjomcgee6333 @Ginyu Squad Fair enough. I am no expert on this kind of music. I always had preconceived beliefs about this kind of music. I am glad I discovered it though. I dance to it as much as anything. I'm a sucker for staccato rhythms and Empire Of The Sun was a dream come true after this showed what they were capable of together. I just hope Luke and Nick do a disco album next.
Well, yes. But in this song it is actually both halves of Empire of the Sun. This was the first collaboration between both artists, Nick Littlemore of PNAU and Teenager, Luke Steele of The Sleepy Jackson. This song is like the birth of Empire of the Sun, basically.
this is nick from pnau. he is currently doing an outside project with luke steele from the sleepy jackson called empire of the sun. their music is awesome! the vocals on this track are also sampled by luke steele. luke is hot!
Actually both the guys in PNAU are involved in Empire of the Sun -- Aside from Nick, Peter Mayes is a songwriter, musician, producer and engineer on all of the EOTS songs.
Nick Littlemore is from PNAU and Luke Steele is from his band Sleepy Jackson. Empire of the Sun was a side project they did, they have collaborated before like this song here.
1 Fast car (5 speed) 1 Loud stereo 1 PNAU/Empire of the sun "FAN" 1 Life to live = An awesome experience driving with this type of music!! =D I LOVE ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
@Ghostnerd187 looks like this track gave conception to the Empire of the Sun project. From the wiki: Littlemore has commented "when [Peter Mayes and I] wrote 'With You Forever', I knew straight away I had to send it to Luke. A day later, he called me up and sang the whole thing over the phone to me.” These initial sessions sparked what would later become Empire of the Sun (under the working title of Steelemore)
A corner in downtown Akron plays music over loud speakers, I and many others amongst the sidewalk traffic just casually stand there with Shazam open capturing tracks like this XD
Yep. Luke Steele is the other one in Empire of the Sun, and he is the one singing this song. Nick Littlemore is the one from pnau. (who is in empire of the sun too) so its pretty much an empire of the sun song haha
Well your right with the Empire of the Sun bit, as Nick Littlemore of Pnau and Luke Steele who features in this song have formed Empire of the Sun, and I love em I only found out about Pnau and The Sleepy Jackson (Luke Steele's earlier band) because I started listening to EotS and thank god I did cos they're all great! :-)
+hdamra not the same group to be exact, pnau consists out of nick littlemore and this other guy and eof are also littlemore and luke steele, the guy who sings in this song
+Glenn Miles This song was actually produced by Steele and Littlemore, "A track-by-track analysis of the album Pnau revealed that writing of "With You Forever" with Luke Steele inspired Littlemore's band to begin work on a collaborative project.[21] Littlemore said, "We fell in love with music again with [With You Forever]; I think this is [Pnau's] first great song." It sounds like Empire of the Sun because Nick Littlemore is in Pnau, and they have Luke Steele doing vocals for this song. Nick and Luke are Empire of the Sun.
@pontello3 this song is a Luke Steele colaboration witn Pnau, This song was the inspirtation to create EOTS, finally, Nick and Luke get together and EOTS born!!!
this isnt just any old song with luke steele and nick littlemore... this is the song that started it all off, a year after this song was made empire of the sun released their debut album!
Yeah that how you pronounce it but its not spelled like that. Im Italian so dont even bother arguing with me when you wanna talk about my language. FORZAA

Empire of the Sun/PNAU = Hi-Fi MGMT = Lo-Fi Some people just listen to the vocals and think that's all there is to the music, unfortunately. They don't understand music.
Flash back to my early 20's....these guys were amazing live!

jmwFILMS yes guys you're totally right because the vocals are by Luke Steele :)
savmeister oh wow lol.. Definitely makes sense now xD
That's because it is.
yea it is them. If you look at other videos of this song they actually give credit to them as "ft. Empire of the sun"
This is amazing! I love the photographs of the gig - wish i was there! Australia, you should be very proud...
"There's a strain plane in my hut. It's a dime, like a sun. You're a fart. It's so loud. Grab a nut. So Don John."
This reminded me so much of Walking on a dream from Empire of the sun, then I found out it's the same singer.
Seems like this only comes on at night in horizon 2. This is probly my favorite song in the game
The amount of Love coming from this song is sick. Too much!
Holy shit, it’s taken me 10 years to find this!
And me 13 😂
this is nick from pnau. he is currently doing an outside project with luke steele from the sleepy jackson called empire of the sun. their music is awesome! the vocals on this track are also sampled by luke steele. luke is hot!

it is luke steele, he collaborated with nick littlemore on this track, then went on to form Empire of the Sun, so ur kinda right! :-)

Empire of the Sun is a duo with a guy from Pnau and another bloke.
So yeah, naturally they're going to sound alike.
2008 was such a good year :')
apart from all that economic downturn stuff....
@zackrymf because it is the guys from empire of the sun dude, this is their first song but as PNAU feat luke steele. lol
happy tune. 💙
Pnau has been around way longer than MGMT, Luke Steele's been singing like this way before MGMT.
PNAU and Empire Of The Sun RULE BIG TIME!!!*:D Lukes voice is awesome!!!

Empire of the Sun/PNAU = Hi-Fi
MGMT = Lo-Fi
Some people just listen to the vocals and think that's all there is to the music, unfortunately. They don't understand music.
Gotta love it maan
