I usually do a theme this year though it will be just a memory tree mom and gma in heaven and i got so many ornaments they made over 40 years plus what my daughters have made. I do four trees one will be a retro treee that has vintage ornaments and I love ur snow man tree i always do a snowman tree as well. guess i got my Christmas decor obsession from my two angels. I am not good at bows at all but the way u show it..I have been able to get close. You and Jamison have a blessed day

I love the candy tree. But I miss the trees of old days with sentimental ornaments. How can you update a tree full of cherished ornaments?
Sentimental trees don’t need to be “updated” at all! They are even better than these! Most of his trees are exactly the same, with just slight variations of color or texture (ribbons, generic ornaments, and floral picks - repeat.) These ideas are excellent for people with pets - since most of these are unbreakable or easily adapted to unbreakable. They are also good for people who want something different *all the time*. But sentimental will always trump “designer” for me! Sure, make your tree looks beautiful. But vapid and soulless decorations are never truly beautiful. The quirky or even broken ornament with a *history* is always better to me. . . . If you *must* “update” your already beautiful sentimental tree, ribbon and picks or real lead tinsel or garlands (either the more substantial ones everywhere today or the wired “fly away” ones that were available in the 90s and really shouldn’t have gone out of style) or even tiny glass or acrylic icicles are *super-dooper* easy. (Though we never see him venture into half of these. It’s just the same old vapid and soulless [but cheap] ribbon and picks, ribbon and picks, ribbon and picks.) Oh well. You do what you know.
you add another special ornament that has meaning to you and your family.from my first Christmas to today , family tradition was to add a new& unique ornament to the main tree, not one a like, the fun part is that guests literally stand for ever looking at it,the only draw back is after decades of adding, you'll have to get a larger tree, just upgraded to a 9 ft. one. Christmas is about family and memories not trends. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄
Ok, after thinking about it, I realized what you were asking. " How to update a tree but still keep the sentimental ornaments" 1st, change out your tree topper, do something over the top, adding picks & sprays threw out to match topper tucked back in branches. 2ed, try different lights, white minis can be boring , there's endless choices these days, mix them up. This yr. we're adding C 9 colored bulbs on end of branches (ea.bulb has its own clip) with the white minis pushed in toward the trunk , gives a cool glow, the colored lights a touch of nostalgia plus they will spot light the special ornaments .3ed, a new tree skirt will help a lot, keeping with the make over theme, but still using the cherished ornaments.
Heidi ho. The tree is magical, Ramon! I did mine last year around the tiered wreath you taught us how to use. Lots of red and with candy cane and red and white peppermint candies. I made those with my Cricut and styrofoam forms. The same look was beautiful on my tree. I’m going to invest in a lot more red and white,lots of striped ones, ornaments. I used one of those large candy cane wired forms from DollarTree for the tree topper I was so happy with it. Thank you. My daughter said it was magical. Music to my ears!

Truly you have such an outstanding talent for decorating, a great eye for color, proportion and design. I just love the red peppermint tree, so whimsical! I have a challenge for you……… how would you create a large Victorian Angel for a front door, using all white materials such as delicate laces, etc, and with large wings that start at the top and drape down and a halo! I’d love a lot of sparkle too. That’s my goal for this Christmas and it’s very challenging for me. Your help would be greatly appreciated. I’m a new subscriber and will be for a longtime to come!

You know I'm a fan as well as of Rebecca Robson also and I get tired of the teepee looking tree sometimes but after we decorate them of course they're beautiful but I still like the over the top tree that's f***** usually and is more a Whimsical and Spacey and has different size branches and things I've seen them at Rebecca Robinson's home many many times she's just over the top and I just love her but don't you get tired of the teepee trees I call him teepees cuz they're so triangular anyway keep up the good work you're doing great I'm still watching the 10 trees
I really wish I had the funds to go all out on decorations, but less is more. This is my second year and a half years of following you. I haven’t had a tree up in 3 years since my husband passed away. I am on disability and depression is an awful thing to have to deal with. I have also lost my in-laws. They were the sweetest people. The holidays are so sad without them. I lost my father-in-law this April after Easter from Cardiac issues. I had been caring for him since my mother-law-away and husband had passed away six months apart.
I became a grandmother to a beautiful granddaughter this year she will be 5 months old at Christmas. All the holidays were celebrated at my in-laws. My
mother-in-law loved to cook and entertain. They took food to anyone who needed it and helped with the food mission with the church our rural area and with food mission in the city. My son has his friends to lean on and go do things with and his fiancé. He is 22 and such a great father to his baby girl. My husband we always had people over at the house and always went out and ate we people, but since he passed away. It all stopped. I have not been invited to nothing. To go no where. To do nothing.
I know that there were some times my husband had to cancel some invitations because I was sick with health issues. I always told him, “Don’t stay home because of me; I will be ok.” I think one of them got made because we missed a wedding. He didn’t want to go to it anyway. It was outdoors and hot. Tell them I’m sick. He did. I became the scapegoat for him.
I feel as an outcast. I used to be such a very happy person, but that person had disappeared. I want that person back.
I love the way you decorate! I hear you now and then mention your "clients". What is the process to become one of your clients? I know what I like, but it's hard to see the "vision" before decorating and plus, I don't have much patience. Are you anywhere near Cibolo, Texas?

We are diehard Saints fans,win or loose. After Christmas I plan on converting my tree in a "who dat?" and carnival tree. Thanks to you I have some clues from the candy cane tree. Certainly those dolls and some of our old Mardi gras beads will work.

Ramon all the trees were simply beautiful. The blue & white with silver was one of my favorites even though I am a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas. The balsam Hills tree. Amazing. All were gorgeous.

Hi Ramon now I'm watching your 10 different trees I think you did it in 2020 or 21 anyway the one you're working on right now with the Magnolias the ribbon is outstandingly gorgeous and I love love the Magnolias I love those I used to work with a lot with Magnolias if not hydrangea but definitely Magnolia keep up the wonderful work poinsettias too you know in the fake or artificial silks are good to use as well but that tree is already looking absolutely gorgeous it looks like a Slimline my vision is not as good as it used to be but it's gorgeous

Gorgeous! Thank you! I would love to see you decorate a tree with multicolored lights. I have a tree that has lights that are primary colors plus hot pink. I have ribbons in traditional red and green as well as gold and silver. The blue and pink lights are throwing me off!

I like how you show us what NOT to do as well as what to do. For example, seeing the difference between the flat red sticks compared to when you manipulated them and gave them more dimension, really made a difference.

Ramon each tree is more stunning than the next I swear the third or fourth tree I can't remember now I think it's the third is just absolutely gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous it has some kind of mesh ribbon looking something I don't know what you call it but anyway it's gorgeous and I love your flyaways I call them fillers but fly away is great that look like they're about to take off that's wonderful and yes I agree angle them a little bit looks even better beautiful absolutely beautiful you're about to start the ball some hill now let's see what that is thank you so much for sharing

I like all of them but the peppermint tree is so creative and fun! It may sound like a bit much but my kids have trees in their rooms and I think my youngest son would really like the red and white with the little elf helpers. I am so glad I found your channel I could watch you all day.
