DVD TV picture is much cleaner and much better not like how it was a long time ago during the VHS days. At the end DVDs had win the best TV picture. Just like how the movie was intended to come out on Standard Version. How I see it I think DVDs are the best television picture. And the struggle with VHS at the time when at the time they were getting stuck in the VCR that was horrible. Lucky DVDs had changed that. Where you don't have that problem anymore when a VHS home video is stuck in the VCR and it's very good easy steps to put a DVD in in the DVD player. Before they invented Playstation. Into the best models to fit your TV picture.
Sounds like you were watching the widescreen version of Finding Nemo. Pity that particular disc does not work with any of my devices capable of DVD playback for some reason.
