Johnny is the only youtuber I seriously wait every day on his schedule to release a video. This guy is not only a youtuber, he is a mentor and guidance for everyone who wants to become a better person. Thanks man, you deserve everything good you have in life!
I completely agree man and his name “happy console gamer“ is the perfect name for his style and what he brings to RUclips!! -honesty/goodness He will speak highly about the most terrible games as if his mind no matter what always brings out the good!! This is what I love the most about him!! It could be a game that everyone else in the community is hating on, and while he will touch base on the things that people have problems with, ultimately he will highlight and make the video about the things that that game does right!! Truly a one of a kind individual that we need more of this day and time!
As somebody who married the wrong woman and struggling as a single gamer dad with my children, I can confirm that children are a fantastic thing to have in life. Sharing games with them is fantastic. So, my regret would be that I did not managed to find my Kim in my life. I wish you all the happiness with your princesses ;-)
Thank you, maybe your goal with her just was to have those children. I have a girlfriend, but we don't have kids, for example. Hope you find another woman though! Who knows what the future will bring us.
4:25 I smoked cigarettes for 22 years, even was watching you while I still had that habit. I've stopped & have been a proud non-smoker for about 1.5 years now. You are one of the people I wanted to tell about this because of how happy you are that you stopped smoking. You inspired me to do it too! THANK YOU JOHNNY!🙏
Please tell me your secrets. I've been smoking since 2014 (grabbed the habit a bit late in life) and I tried to quit multiple times, but it's way too freaking hard. My health is okay for now, but it's sucking my pockets dry it's worrisome.
@@galuademg6958 6 years for me. Stopped drinking alcohol for 6 months to stop temptation. Also took a week off work to come off it clean with no nicotine. Stayed in the house the whole week. Was easier after that. Never even think about it now. Good luck friend.
Back in the 90s, early 2000s, it was common to sell your previous console to be able to afford the next one. But we all got a rude awakening when nostalgia hit.
In my early teens I sold my PS1, around 45 games and a few accessories to buy 2 GameCube games and 1 GBA game. I still remember my mother looking at me and asking if I was absolutely sure while the cashier was totaling it all up. She knew I'd regret it, but I'm glad she let me make my own decision and learn from my mistake.
I never planned to have children, but in October, my wife and I were shocked with a pregnancy. It affected me so much and in such a way I didn't even know was possible. We both went from specifically not wanting children to being 100% ready for it... Unfortunately, we lost the baby at 8 weeks. We are not giving up, however. The prospect of being parents is now something we both desperately want. I now wish that we could have known earlier how much we would want to be parents. Just had no idea.
I had my first son at 19, its the greatest thing to happen to me, i was headed down a very wrong path, the second that little sucker popped out and i had him in my arms he looked at me i knew there was never going to be anything that will keep me from being there to protect him and raise him, hes now 22 my best friend in the world i also have a 17 and 15 year sons, all from the same mom but we seperated 12 years ago, i have full custody of all of 3, as i said nothing will ever seperate me from ky boys there the ONLY thing i care about in this world kids are absolutley the best thing to happen to me im 41 now ive been a dad longer then i havent and wouldnt change it for the world
I’m in the same boat as you. I had kids later in life, but I don’t regret it because they are getting the best version of myself. In my 20’s and early 30’s I wasn’t prepared for kids, but I am now. I know this is a regret video but I don’t view it that way, I’m sure you know yourself better now. And you’re probably a great dad in your late 40s. Thanks for the video, love your stuff
Watching old clips of Johnny in his early 20's is so surreal. How much he has changed for the better since he decided to quit smoking. Just glad to see he's healthy now.
Loved the video. As a man with tons of regrets from losing children, to heroin addiction, and prison who came out clean on the other side, I sympathize with your regret for not having children earlier...I did have them early I unfortunately was not around for a big part of their lives. We still got today tho friend.we have today.
Videos like this one is what sets this channel apart from other gaming channels in my opinion, Johnny is so authentic and real with us which is hard to find from a lot of content creators nowadays. My biggest gaming regret is selling my GameCube and GameCube games back 5 or 6 years ago, had I known what was to come in 2020 and inflation of everything including video game prices I would’ve held on to that GameCube like a bear with honey!
Having kids is the greatest thing I’ve ever experienced. My second is due in a couple weeks and while I’m nervous, I know it’s going to be an incredible experience.
Johnny you are such an inspiration and I'm actually very envious of all the things you DID do with your life. You have a beautiful family and you enjoy your hobbies I have mental health issues that get in the way of making good life choices. I am alone and don't enjoy my hobbies the way I wish I did. Keep enjoying your life brother and please keep making videos for us!
i lost 6 years of my life to shitty depression. i saw another personal happy console gamer video 3 years ago about his friend who died. That prompted me to start trying to get my life back on track. despite covid and some ups and downs im kinda getting there. Thanks Johnny
First time commenting in your vids but long time watcher and fan. This one made me realize why im such a fan of yours is the part about regretting not drawing more, and being a dad hit me hard. I wanted to be a comic book artist so bad in my teens, but my dad told me it wasnt good for a career so i gave up. Maybe he was right but it was my true passion. But what i felt most connected to was in having my now almost 2 yo son and me also being a similar age to you, makes me realize as well i wish i had kids earlier because i just hope i can keep up with him later in life.
I just discovered your channel recently and I'm telling ya, I really really enjoy your content, your show, you're very easy to listen to and passionate. And I just think it's a wonderful thing hearing someone get passionate about games that understands what they can do for someone. Love your show buddy.
I had two kids in two years 2001 and 2002. I was 24 and 25. I love that they are grown and I am only 45. I love playing video games with them as kids and as adults. Love your channel John!
I grew up watching most of my family smoke and eventually at the age of 17, I picked up the habit. I’m now 26 and I’ve been smoke free for the last 4 years and it’s the best decision I ever made. I regret picking up the habit in the first place, however I’m relieved that I managed to quit in my twenties. Anyway, I’m glad life is treating you well, Johnny. Lord knows you deserve it!
And being around a family full of smokers made me definitely want one. Hopefully our generation will stomp this shit out so our kids won't see a bad example and take it up like we did watching our parents and grandparents.
I very much regret how I never appreciated things in life when I was younger. It isn't until I got older that I realized how fragile things are and how trivial "problems" were back then. All the stupid fights with friends, arguments with parents, not taking my education seriously, or persuing a real relationship with someone. I'm old now, and alone, and I wish I could go back and make my family proud of me while growing old with someone else in my life. I also regret not keeping my game boxes! (I get one silly, trivial regret!)
Johnny I love your show now, but I wouldn’t change a thing about those earlier episodes. They are special the way they are. The content presented back then was just what I was looking for, you couldn’t find it anywhere else! You and ScrewAttack (RIP) are the only content providers who has content that I love to revisit pretty regularly. Unfortunately with ScrewAttack their videos are becoming very hard to find as the years go by but yours is all right here! It’s like comfort food in a way, and represents my interests perfectly! As imperfect as you feel the older stuff might be, If I were you I wouldn’t regret any of it. So many people have connected with it as is, thanks for the great content and keep it up dude!
Johnny I watched YTV religiously growing up, to know that you were behind the scenes in a way just makes me so happy, you've had my back this whole time lol.
8:05 I think I can actually feel your regret through my monitor dude. Lol, such a genuine feeling of regret oozing from you here. Great upload as always mate.
You're a blessed man Johnny! We're so happy you're a part of the gaming world and part of our lives. Your artwork is high quality! Really cool! We all have regrets in life lol. Some big, some small. C'est la vie right?
Ooof, that drawing one hits hard for me. We're in a similar boat there. I did a fair bit of drawing all throughout my childhood, and even spent a couple years in art school. I won't say I was great either, but I had some talent and could have taken it somewhere if I'd just put my head down and kept at it. For whatever reason though, in my late 20's, I just stopped doing it. It hasn't been quite as long as with you, but I'll be turning 40 in a couple months, and for whatever reason, I got the bug to draw again recently, but it is a struggle to do because the art muscle is not in shape anymore. I'm really glad to hear you talk about it and show that it is something that can be returned to though. It gives me hope and encouragement to keep going and not let it become a permanent life regret. Thank you!
This was the best thing I've watched in a very long time. After a really bad experience in university I gave up on my dream of being a writer, but listening to your story about your days as an artist and how you've picked it back up again has inspired me to re-evaluate my career trajectory and perhaps start to pursue my dream again. I'm 25 years old and I work 2 jobs that both pay me well enough to enjoy my life and hobbies, but I gave up on my dream and that's something that has always bothered me. I can't wait to start writing again and maybe even go back to university to finish my degree, I just needed that spark of motivation and this video has given it to me, so I really appreciate that. Thank you! :)
Absolutely my main regret in life was to start smoking. I'm now 35 and beginning to feel the effects on my health... I know it won't be easy, but I want to stop asap. It's just difficult with my somewhat compulsive personality, but I'm gonna get medical help. Thanks for the inspiration, Johnny!
Johnny, I've shared this with you before, but it's worth repeating: your video years ago about seeking Hypnotherapy for quitting smoking was pivotal in me quitting alcohol. THANK YOU AGAIN!
So true! My wife and I have been together since we were 17 and waited until we were 29 to have our little girl and our biggest regret is not starting sooner! We spent years trying to "prepare" and finally realized there is no amount of money or certain job title or home that will make you feel 100% prepared and thank God we finally just did it because she's the greatest gift of our lives!
What’s wrong with me??!!! I look forward to your new episode every Sunday!! I’m 51 and it sometimes feels like I’m seven years old on a Saturday morning. Dude, you are awesome! Everything you do and everything you have done is just perfect. Exactly as it should be. Thank you, Johnny! I can’t tell you how many hundreds of dollars, (dare I say thousands?) in video games I’ve purchased because of your recommendations and reviews. I’m a pretty busy fellow myself. I have three little kids, a wife and work hard at what I do. These videos of yours are just so much fun to watch. I’ve been enjoying your much older videos. Like looking through an old games magazine or something. Go Johnny! Johnny be good. Aww man I’m sorry.
Let's all take a moment to congratulate Jonny and anyone else who manages to stop smoking. Whilst I have never been a smoker myself, I have seen the damage it does to the health of the smokers and those who live with them. You all deserve high praise for managing to kick the habit.
I remember when I first started watching your videos a few years back I honestly wasn’t a big fan. Not that I had anything against you personally but your content didn’t resonate with me. Now I’m at a point in my life and hobby where you’ve become one of my favorite RUclipsrs. Your passion for games is infectious. Seeing you relive your past is like going into a time machine. Thanks Johnny for the content and hope you continue to do what you love.
Damn, got a huge wave of nostalgia when you pulled out those neo-geo carts. It had to be over ten years ago at this point when I looked up neo geo games on youtube and found your channel. Been watching ever since. Keep up the great work, Johhny!
Thanks Johnny for sharing. My wife's expecting a baby girl this year and I'm 43. I can't wait. I also wanted to have kids earlier in life. But life goes the way it wants to go..
Johnny, I love watching you your weekly episodes. They are always brilliant and thought provoking. Like many of us , we all have regrets but at the same time from these regrets we learn future lessons which we can pass on to future generations.
Man, this is the closest video to my heart on YT like ever! I might not be the only one, but I relate to most of points you mentioned, and opened my eyes on others. I respect your openness and courage to share with us, wish you all the best.
Man, I can't describe how much I love your videos. I love there is no bullshit, no begging for subs and likes, no fake reactions and most of all I love ALL the stories you share. Thank you!
Johnny the realest RUclipsr... been here since the beginning *look at my account age*. Quit cigarettes two years ago finally and going back to your smoking video helped a lot. Much love bro!
That's not too bad. FF 7-9 aren't obnoxiously expensive to repurchase. The Dreamcast is one of the best consoles ever made and is getting more expensive to buy. I've just recently modified mine with a Terraonion MODE, as well as the power supply and fan upgrades.
@@werdna_sir I actually sold that dreamcast long ago as well. I remember having some great times with it as well, but the FF franchise is very near and dear to me. Funnily enough, last year I actually bought Atelier Heidi's dreamcast through an eBay auction and have been having a blast replaying some games and also trying some great titles I missed 😅
@@GavinVengeance That's cool, man. I understand about the personal attachment. Some of my PC games from the 90's aren't necessarily worth much on the used market, but they're invaluable to me emotionally.
Thank you for sharing this. Having turned 30 last year and thinking about everything i regret this hits close to home in a good way. I am not alone and it is nice to see that despite growing older one can still enjoy life and hobbies, thanks sharing that with us in every video. Been a fan for 10years+ now and your channel is still one of the best most relaxing gaming channels.
My biggest regrets with video games are playing World of Warcraft for 7 years straight...neglecting not just my life but also every other game release....so many great games i missed out on. Also another regret i have is spending way too much time disucssing and talking games on social media instead of actually playing them haha.
This video showcases what I personally admire so much about your channel. You are always so open and sincere and I think that along with the nostalgia appreciation, your veiwers appreciate this the most. Thank you, Johnny, for being such a positive, honest example of a gamer who apprecaites the simple joy of gaming, but is also discerning. . The gaming community needs more individuals like yourself.
I needed this episode and didn’t know it… Everything happens for a reason. I’m a pretty good music producer/ audio engineer. And around 5-7 years ago I took a break, right as I was becoming successful, and I really don’t know why. I love music, all kinds of music, I love exercising that muscle, and you’re right… It’s taken time to get back, but I’m doing it, and wish I never stopped. I do know I love what I do. I just turned 35, but hearing it from you is like hearing an older brother talk, and I appreciate it. My son is turning 2 in October… 😂😂😂 I wish I could’ve started younger, my wife and I definitely want more kids, and she’s younger than I… Nevertheless being a father with the partner who you love, and feel loved with, is an amazing experience. Once again Johnny, you’re so cool, and this was another great episode. Thanks!
I’m with you Johnny. I smoked cigarettes consistently from ages 17-28. I went to vaping, and realized I had cut my lung capacity into 1/3 of what it was. After the first week I felt like a different human being. I didn’t realize what a full, deep breath held for 4 seconds felt like for about a decade. I really, really regret starting smoking cigarettes. Stupid habit with rapidly diminishing returns. It’s such a dumb thing to do with your only set of lungs during the literal prime of life, I wish I would’ve had the awareness back then. Hindsight is 20/20🤷♂️
I can totally relate to your drawing story, my life story isn't too far off from yours in that regard. It's tough to get that drawing muscle working & building back up but your story is definitely inspiring me to get that muscle back to where it was. This might be why you're my favorite RUclipsr. Thank you Johnny.
Sold my games to pay a bill and another time to help a family member pay a bill. I don't Regret it, but it was hard to do. You never get everything back.
I have been watching you for YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARS you are one of the original channels I got into on youtube. glad u are still on here kicking around and love your content! never stop!
As much as I wish for your success in life, I've always liked the tighter community that you've built around your videos, and how your videos feel more like conversations than a lot of RUclips channels nowadays do (as much as I love a lot of bigger channels). I also love how honest and sort of open you are about your personal struggles and stories, I think they really help a lot of people going through similar situations in their lives. Keep on keeping on Johnny.
For my age no other youtuber connects with me more about anime and video games then Johnny does. I feel like our era of media is so important to maintain and remember and Johnny does that so well. I am so grateful for his videos and look forward to watch every single one.
love you man! being this vulnerable and human just shows how much growth you have as an individual and you're someone we all look up to and admire! I regret not finding your channel earlier!!
Oh man , long story short lol, I've sold my game collection two times , and in high school for no reason I gave my gba sp and like 20 ish games to a guy on my basketball team ,for no reason lol.
Great idea for a video game channel everybody has so many regrets and things they wish they didn't do but that's what makes them good stories to share. Thanks for the honesty and you are a very talented artist! Big support from Langley.
I really respect your honesty fella..... To me, honesty is one of the most important things in the world and it is free. You are sharing with strangers some of your regrets and i genuinely appreciate that. Great content as always.
Final Fantasy 11. I played 1000s of hours, I ran into relationship problems, and finally I got rid of most of my game collection (ps2/gcn/xbox and before, back to NES) in a big argument. Interestingly enough, I couldn't bring myself to get rid of most (1st party) Nintendo games. It's weird, FF11 was probably the best time I have ever had in a video game. To know that your ideal game could destroy your 'real' life, it makes sense logically, but that's like Matrix-level stuff right there.
I'm 41, gamer and collector like you Johnny, and fan of yours, been following you since 2009 (yeah the bandanna years !) I have 2 daughters so I really understand that, and I too have some regrets selling my awesome Saturn collection for a PlayStation in 2000 ! And yes, we can't change the past, it's a part of our life, but we can act in our present and also plan for our future, so don't stop drawing ever from now on !
Thanks much for all the years of wonderful content. God bless you and your family. I sold my entire collection in 2011 and regret it to this day. I had things I will never have again.
Absolutely loved hearings your perspectives. PLEASE, tell us more about your time with YTV. Vancouver Island boy here, YTV was my childhood. Thank you for posting this video.
It is so awesome to see your drawing again. I remember way back when the channel was young, when you were showing off your old art work and comics. I always wished I could see more. It would be so cool to see an art page or some place to see all of your art work. I also have sold my collection a few times to get something I wanted or to get out of a financial situation, and it always hurts when going back. Thank you so much for sharing with us, Johnny! And thank you for always giving us great memories!
What a genuine person you Johnny, your story telling through videos you have captured during your life. The love and passion you have for video games really reflects the kind of same similarities I have, especially growing up in the same era. Must say you are one if it not the best you tuber out there ☆☆☆
that art is great omg - dude I love hearing about you talk about anything, be it games or other interests. I grew up watching you on Reviews on the Run so it really makes me happy seeing you make videos after all these years + you're from Canada too!
I've been a subscriber for a while now so thought I'd comment. I moved from Leeds (Yorkshire) to Vancouver almost 8 years ago. Me and my wife moved to Victoria about a year ago now, but I love it whenever you name drop Vancouver - it reminds me of all the great things about that city! Definitely don't regret the move but it makes me appreciate all the good times we had there. Really appreciate the videos mate, thanks for the gaming insights!
Hey Johnny. I loved this video. I love when you talk about life. I can fully relate to what you had to say. It’s been amazing to see you change over time. Thank you for sticking with us. And as for game trade-ins that I repress and cringe over, I traded in my loose carts of Chrono Trigger and Earthbound among some others for a PS2 memory card. It wasn’t even enough to cover the cost of the card…. I still had to pay in. Happened over twenty years ago, but I still grab at my heart when I think about it.
I have absolutely no regrets in life... I'm married (male/female) and not living in my mother's basement and thank god with no kids...:-) And video games are the one thing that gives me total happiness as my number one hobby. My first console was the Atari 2600 back in 1977 when I was 14 years young. My summer of that year was spent mowing grass to save up for the system... $5 per yard x 40 yards was about what was required to buy the 2600 back in my day. Blood, sweat, and many tears... And yes, I still own the same 2600, and it still works!!! After that, I was hooked and still collect retro/modern games/systems to this day. Thanks for the video, Johnny!!!
Johnny… this video really hit home and hit the ❤️ Thank🙏🏽you for this!! Appreciate you!! Thank you for always taking us back in time, as well as moving us forward!! God🙏🏽bless you and your family!! 💞
Nothing wrong with getting choked up about the things you love, Johnny. Even on camera. Doesn’t make you any less of a man or human. Enjoy sharing your passion for games and family.
Damn this video hit hard I just turned 32 and have a lot of the same regrets too. I sold my game collection multiple times through the years and that shit haunts me a lot to this day. but i got my collection back for the most part. Drawing and guitar has always been my biggest passions that i gave up on about 12 years ago but the last few months I've gotten back that into to it. Because I don't want to wounder where it could taken me in life. I really enjoyed this video and been a big fan of yours for about 10 years now. Keep up the good work you're doing and follow your passions know matter what.
Thank you for sharing your life experiences ups and downs. Don’t really have the words right now but this touched me personally and I want to say thank you.
@HappyConsolGamer same here every game from every time zone has a memory, and reminds me of something. If I was ever interrogated I'll know exactly where I was on any date just by release dates. I quit smoking about 6*7 years ago. your smoking video really helped me. Thank you. -AKIRA
Dude, Johnny M. You are one of the best freehand artists I have ever seen. Your passion for culture comes through your art. Love you and love the show. Peace.
Hey Johnny, first-time caller here. I've been watching your channel for a couple of years now, and I have to say that, without invalidating what you mentioned because I can see why this or that you would've wanted to do differently, and believe me I can relate to some of those things quite well, I do want to perhaps point out something that made me choose your channel out of so many options out there. I think that your style is very much of an old-school, and very personal variety, I would even say that your style has a much less commercial/career RUclipsr feel, and at least for me, that's something I really appreciate because when you're talking about these games, whether it's by yourself or with a guest, I can tell you are legit about it and honestly it's almost like when my friends and I talk about this or that game sitting around having a burger or going for a walk reminiscing about this game or that and so on, it feels pretty much the same even if I'm about 10 years your junior and lived in Ottawa back then lol. My point is that perhaps it could be said that your channel as it exists today wouldn't exist without all of those intricate moving parts and imperfections and so on that are a by-product of all of those things you mentioned, so maybe consider that as well. Regardless, I don't want to go for too long here so I will close by just saying thank you for all the quality content and keep doing what you're doing, and my best to your family of course. Cheers! P.s. johnny have you ever talked to Scott the woz? I think it would be really cool if you two had a superchat or something because he's very much in the same vein as you with the appreciation of old-school games but he's a fair bit younger, so I think it'd be an interesting experience to cross-pollinate between you who have lived through all of those generations of games first-hand and Scott who has inherited those while still living in the current generation of gaming if you will. Something to consider perhaps. -AB
Thankful for you Johnny... You bring your passion to the world in a way that is a great blessing... Even with something so seemingly simple as video games!
I totally agree with you about smoking. I started when I was 19 and I regret ever picking one up. I’ve tried to quit about 3 times but it’s such a hard thing to put down once you’ve started. Really happy you were able to kick it!
It's amazing how much you have changed since you decided to quit smoking. I remember when I started watching I'd go back to videos from a few years prior and I remember being so surprised by how different you looked. It sort of tripped me out a bit. You look so much healthier and not much older than you did even a decade ago. It's just always great to see a positive change when there's so much negativity in the world. That's really why I fell in love with this channel because people online always come off as being so negative about games and you always bring so much positivity even when you are being critical.
Dude what a great episode! Really heartfelt and insightful. I’ve been watching since you only had a handful of subs and it’s been a joy watching your life and show evolve to the point it’s at now. I have many things I wish I could do differently but somehow I think I ended up where I needed to be in life. Took a long time to get there but the journey made me grow and appreciate the small things in life. Biggest gaming regret? I have a good one…So a local mom and pops used game store was going out of business and I was a frequent customer there. This was around 2008 and all their NES, SNES, Sega CD, Genesis, and PS1 games were $1. Yes, $1. I grabbed a massive stack of games probably around 150-175. I almost cleaned out the store and I started feeling bad about it. I didn’t feel right grabbing all these games for myself so I ended up putting back over half of them. At the end of the day I maybe walked away with around 50-75 games with a ton of now rare stuff in tow. I ended up putting back some now crazy expensive PS1 RPGs and lots of rare NES games. I kick myself thinking about it now but hopefully those games found a good home and didn’t just end up on EBay.
Definitely have a handful of gaming + real life regrets from just these last couple years alone. But your videos always make me excited for things like games, life, having fun and just being me. Seriously the best channel on RUclips
I think it’s totally fair to regret smoking cigarettes, my friend, but how you have healed and shared your story with countless others (referring to your excellent video from a few years back that I have never forgotten) is a testament to how good can come out of bad, so cheers to you for being a healthier Johnny now but maybe that journey isn’t all that bad in retrospect. Hope you’re having a great day, buddy! (And your art looks excellent, keep it up!)
Johnny is the only youtuber I seriously wait every day on his schedule to release a video. This guy is not only a youtuber, he is a mentor and guidance for everyone who wants to become a better person. Thanks man, you deserve everything good you have in life!
It’s funny, I feel the same way. JJ McCullough is the only other, and they are both from Vancouver
I completely agree man and his name “happy console gamer“ is the perfect name for his style and what he brings to RUclips!!
-honesty/goodness
He will speak highly about the most terrible games as if his mind no matter what always brings out the good!!
This is what I love the most about him!!
It could be a game that everyone else in the community is hating on, and while he will touch base on the things that people have problems with, ultimately he will highlight and make the video about the things that that game does right!!

Couldn't agree more. Much love.
He's my first youtuber I check everyday to see if there's a new video lol

@@galuademg6958 6 years for me. Stopped drinking alcohol for 6 months to stop temptation. Also took a week off work to come off it clean with no nicotine. Stayed in the house the whole week. Was easier after that. Never even think about it now. Good luck friend.
I’m about 7 years free of smoking, smoking cigarettes is fucking stupid and a gigantic waste of money.
@@galuademg6958 switch to lozenges or vaping then taper down. That’s really all it is. At least that way your lungs will feel so much better.
Back in the 90s, early 2000s, it was common to sell your previous console to be able to afford the next one. But we all got a rude awakening when nostalgia hit.
Exactly. And seeing prices rise is what kills us inside lol
I sold my TMHT NES set to finance my SNES. There was no option, but it haunts me to this day.
I did it
Yeah, i still miss my master system collection.
Sorry to hear . That’s unbelievably tough
Sorry for your loss :(
I'm so fucking sorry. All the best to you both ❤
Rest in peace
I am sooo sorry to hear Jebber...
Thank you I really agree with this!
Hope you're doing OK now, man.
Facts
Having kids is the greatest thing I’ve ever experienced. My second is due in a couple weeks and while I’m nervous, I know it’s going to be an incredible experience.
What a heartwarming and wholesome episode. So much truth in there. Thank you!
Amazing Art!!!
I love the realness of this talk, just from the heart.
i lost 6 years of my life to shitty depression. i saw another personal happy console gamer video 3 years ago about his friend who died. That prompted me to start trying to get my life back on track. despite covid and some ups and downs im kinda getting there. Thanks Johnny
Wow, I honestly didn't know you were that amazing of an artist!! Glad it's back to giving you happiness man
First time commenting in your vids but long time watcher and fan.
You're so personable, so genuine .. freaking love your channel man.
No joke would love that Samus drawing framed on my wall. So dope.
I had two kids in two years 2001 and 2002. I was 24 and 25. I love that they are grown and I am only 45. I love playing video games with them as kids and as adults. Love your channel John!
11:30 I legit said "wow" outloud when I saw your artwork. That looks fantastic man. Just shows you that it's never too late, you still have time.
I really enjoy this channel. You’re a really cool and genuine person. Thank you so much for all you do on this channel. Thanks Johnny
I regret not finding this channel sooner, love ya Johnny!!!
Johnny breaking my heart talking about regrets overtop of Chrono Cross music
I just thought and posted the same thing when I watched this video. That Chrono Cross music always hits me in the feels
Same! I got misty eyed!
I do believe your art is maybe a bit too satanic, though.
E cig saved my life, if you cant kick it at least do it tar free
@@itsalolmor hail satan.
Always been a real one. Your honesty is most appreciated.
Thank you for your honesty Johnny, something we can always count on from you. Cheers!
I'd still love to buy that Metroid drawing of yours if you're ever willing. I absolutely love it!
Congrats!!
@@HappyConsoleGamer Thanks!
Johnny, I love watching you your weekly episodes. They are always brilliant and thought provoking. Like many of us , we all have regrets but at the same time from these regrets we learn future lessons which we can pass on to future generations.
Much Love Johnny! You are my favorite RUclipsr
Man, this is the closest video to my heart on YT like ever! I might not be the only one, but I relate to most of points you mentioned, and opened my eyes on others.
I respect your openness and courage to share with us, wish you all the best.
Not gonna lie, I was totally waiting for Dynamite Dux to be one of your greatest regrets lol 😂😂
Respect man, great video. Keep it up 👍👍
Man, I can't describe how much I love your videos. I love there is no bullshit, no begging for subs and likes, no fake reactions and most of all I love ALL the stories you share. Thank you!
Johnny, you’re one of the most genuine humans out there. Thanks for everything you do.
Johnny the realest RUclipsr... been here since the beginning *look at my account age*. Quit cigarettes two years ago finally and going back to your smoking video helped a lot. Much love bro!
I traded my mint condition FFVII, FFVIII, and FFIX games (all non-greatest hits) to a guy for his dreamcast.
Biggest gaming regret ever.
Ooffff that hurts
Oof! Man, I don't even know what to say...
Many friends played wow for years, they became so boring in regards to gaming and shot down any discussion about games beyond wow.
lol, i got probably 10k hours on 4chan /v/ alone
Hindsight is 20/20🤷♂️
The man of the year 1000 times over, that's why he's known as Johnny Millenium.
I had to do the same thing myself and I had to sell my boxed Metroid Fusion game which I still hate that I did.
I have been watching you for YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARS you are one of the original channels I got into on youtube. glad u are still on here kicking around and love your content! never stop!
It’s been awhile Johnny. Hope y’all are doing well.
Your viewers would definitely buy your art. Would look great framed in a gameroom!!
For my age no other youtuber connects with me more about anime and video games then Johnny does. I feel like our era of media is so important to maintain and remember and Johnny does that so well. I am so grateful for his videos and look forward to watch every single one.
My regret was getting rid of my Nintendo Power magazines
love you man! being this vulnerable and human just shows how much growth you have as an individual and you're someone we all look up to and admire!
I love your videos sir keep it up
Love from india ❤️
I'm 41, gamer and collector like you Johnny, and fan of yours, been following you since 2009 (yeah the bandanna years !)
I have 2 daughters so I really understand that, and I too have some regrets selling my awesome Saturn collection for a PlayStation in 2000 !
And yes, we can't change the past, it's a part of our life, but we can act in our present and also plan for our future, so don't stop drawing ever from now on !
TBH i dont regret anything i did. Why? Because with out all those things ive done i wouldnt be the Person today.
Loved this episode!!! Being a dad is the most important thing and the most amazing that could happen to anyone
I sold my game collection multiple times through the years
and that shit haunts me a lot to this day. but i got my collection back for the most part.
Johnny has developed alot of character over the years. The quality of his channel has also gotten better over the past few years as well
Thank you for sharing your life experiences ups and downs.
Thank you. -AKIRA
Johnny Millennium. My favorite RUclipsr that I've followed over 10 years.
Wow Johnny it’s crazy to think I could’ve seen some of you’re work growing up watching YTV, keep being awesome!
