This is a beginners guide to sandbox settings, for everyone who is new to jurassic World Evolution. I get a lot of question about how my sandbox parks work (why don't my dinosaurs freak out, basically), so this video is to explain everything to the newcomers who haven't been to sandbox yet. I didn’t know about these settings and I’ve been playing since release, I thought sandbox had the same settings as campaign but you have unlimited money. Thank you 🙏
I turned on infinite feeders and left a goat feeder in an enclosure with no carnivores. The game spawned about 25 goats (it caps), I didn't realize, and when I edited the size of the en closure, they all got out. I had to release Spinosaurus to eat all of the wild goats so I could spawn more in.
So do you have everything available as soon as you unlock sandbox like every single island in sandbox or do you have to have 4 stars on a specific island to use it in sandbox?
Hang on I just started, and I got 3 stars on Isla matancerios but I am about to get 4 stars, and I got the dinos from the second island, do I still keep the dinos I unlocked on the second island?
Another really well put together video as always🙂this should be really useful for new players. It's kinda crazy how far sandbox has come. I remember when the game first came out that my dinosaurs would die by the time I finished my park and some of those god damn social requirements oh boy and don't get me started on hunting and non infinite feeders. Instant/off shore incubation probably the last thing that would make current sandbox perfect imo.
Wait you said save it as flat Nublar I know how to save it but is there like a duplicate option or something so I don’t have to do it all over again? Answer: So I was able to find out how to do it. Save that flat world Make a new sandbox/ or stay in the flat world Go into options and load in the flat world (if you made a new sandbox) Then when you’re done or want to split the saves, just save it as a new world separate from the flat world.
When I go on JP 1993 isla nublar and on creative and I make a Hammond creation lab and it says path required and I have nowhere to connect the path. Please help
You said you can make it return to Jurassic park if you do does that mean you can make another island in sandbox mode as Jurassic world also? Or is it only one or the other in sandbox mode?

Hi, I am debating on whether to get the Return to Jurassic Park DLC. I really want to build on the Isla Nublar 1993 map as it’s the biggest map. If I go on sandbox will I be able to build on Nublar 1993 but in the Jurassic World era? If so does the aviary work as well in JW era ? Many thanks, I enjoy your content
Ok so i have a question i went into sand box but it auto saved my campaign island i had 4 stars on but i didnt realize at the time so i tried to go back to continue but it just took my back to sandbox so i then went on my other autosave when i first started the game snd now that was saved on my campaign slot i still have the dinos i reasearched but those are like the starter dinos so i then went to that save that i had when i first played and tried to go to isla muerta and it didnt work can i still access that saved data or do i have to start over

I'm pretty sure your question is answered in the video, but: you have to 4-star an island in the campaign to unlock the island, dinosaurs and research in sandbox.

@@oscar_hd1583 like I said: you get what you would unlock on that specific island. So: not all dinosaurs in the game, just all dinosaurs for the islands you have 4-starred

I just got a question so I'm currently on the map the 3rd mission you get -970, 000 and I deleted the stuff to get money and only have 2 dinosaurs and I'm not making money and there sick I don't know what to do I've restarted it 3 times and still fail at it is there any tips you can give me?
Are you on the third island you mean? Dig for fossils on matanceros or muerta and save up the "non fossils" (things you can't extract, only sell). Fill up the fossil with that, then go to tacano and sell it there. Repeat if necessary.

This settings are a life saviour. I can't imagine sandbox without them, I've used them all the time since they came out

I’m planing on making a desert map thanks.
I know I’m late, but with a desert map you want to keep some land not flattened especially if it’s windy.
Think we’ll ever be getting sand on Pena and Sorna 93, plus shale on all other islands?
I don't think so. It's not a coincidence that all islands have four textures currently, I think that's the limit.
@@EvolutionSquare I believe Isla Matanceros only has 3 textures if i'm remembering correctly.

Does sandbox have a "screen saver" mode where the camera basically just wanders around showing off your park?!

Answer: So I was able to find out how to do it.
Save that flat world
Make a new sandbox/ or stay in the flat world
Go into options and load in the flat world (if you made a new sandbox)
Then when you’re done or want to split the saves, just save it as a new world separate from the flat world.

I find that ceratopsians are some of the most aggressive dinosaurs to ranger vehicles

If you have 4 stars on a campaign island, everything you can unlock on that island becomes available in sandbox

Not really a secret cuz the sandbox settings are secretly introduced in the beginning of the campaign.
I get questions about sandbox mode so often that it seems to be it is a "secret" to a lot of new players.

You must be going into a sandbox save that you played before you unlocked everything. Go to the main menu and start a new sandbox

It's in the video, but I'll spoil it for you ;) you have to reach four stars in your campaign island to get everything from that island in sandbox.

Just either move some dinos into another space or make their current space bigger
