    Forget the star names. Shall we talk about Andy Robertson, and Waturu Endo? Both players who were with relegated clubs, yet Captains of their country (I know Wata was when he signed, but I stand by it). Jurgen is an excellent motivator, keeping up an impressive effort for players to want to improve and improve. You only have to look at what has happened to players who have left. For him there is no ceiling, which must be exhausting for the players, but you can’t deny the results of his enthusiasm and compassion

    I think he is deserving the credit he deserves as he is also just about starting to being consistent. As he becomes more consistent, he will naturally draw the due praise.

    Curtis is probably my favorite player not named Trent in a red shirt. It’s been quite a while since I’ve watched him have a bad game and yeah I include THAT game because there was no way to avoid the red. He made a genuine attempt and got unlucky. I’m glad Klopp has given him a chance in what is now a stacked midfield.

    He's been great since the run in to the end of last season. Baffles me some people fail to see this. Our most consistent midfielder alongside Endo. Szobo started great but has fallen off recently. MacAllister frustrates me frequently with inadequate shielding of the ball and giving the ball away too frequently. Maybe he just doesn't suit the 6 role. Endo is far better in that role - very aware, fast and efficient recycling of possession, usually finds a forward pass, reads the game well and is very aggressive in his pressing. Gravenberch hasn't hugely impressed me so far but I can see the potential. Elliott hasn't really taken his chances when he has started games but has made some very impactful substitute appearances.
    As things stand, Endo and Jones would be my first 2 names on the team sheet for the 3 man midfield. Liverpool HAVE to rotate the midfield, however, because it requires so much energy so they will all get a chance to impress, especially with Endo at the Asian cup.

      Not forgetting having Trent in the hybrid role...slowly now its starting to look a bit scary for the opponents. However leaving Endo out will be very unfair so unless Macca starts getting comfortable as as the No.6, I believe Endo will get to start

    He may be better than KDB in his prime. Anyone doubting him is just hoping for an injury. The best LFC player in a generation. Due respect to Mo. But the game is won where CJ shines. Could go down as the best player in LFC history.

    • @dundalis
      @dundalis 5 месяцев назад +2

      It’s literally impossible for him to be as good as KDB much less better. And I’m a big fan of Jones. But Jones would have to be as good a passer of the football as Trent (he’s obviously not in the same galaxy anyone can see that even though he’s a decent passer) while also being able to shoot like Szoboszlai. Hes hit a few decent long shots but nothing like that. Thats minimum requirements just to be as good as KDB. These things aren’t going to just develop into those levels now at 22 years old. He could become a world class level midfielder though maybe better version of Wijnaldum. But KDB level is ridiculous and just means you have no idea what skills KDB has that Jones simply cannot develop

    4:12 Bollocks. Might also say that the sun rise because of Curtis Jones. Did you actually watch those particular games? I can't remember what he actually did. Did he inspire the team with his stellar performances? What exactly did he do? In fact, let's evaluate the current games, the fresh in memory, what does he do? Does he control the tempo? Tidy up the game? Playmaking? What? He's just bang average borderline passenger.
    If anything, it is his obsession with the camera-time. He always thinks that whenever he gets the ball, it is his camera-time. The camera will be on him, so he must keep the ball no matter what. It's like a mental illness. And when he's forced to make a pass, he will do the most safe side-way pass. But ofc, only after he pretends to look up here and there as if he's about to make a killer pass. After several years, he still keeps doing it.
    You might overlook this fact. Then start watching him pretends like he's about to make the most amazing killer pass in history, so he must keep the ball longer than needed. Watch him pretend, but then only to make a simple few yards backward / side way pass. Watch and cringe later. You don't believe me? Pull up his stats about key pass, or chances created. etc.

      @@payneemelda3131I followed his development even during his academy years. So much talk about him then and now. When he finally burst into the scene I can say he is no doubt a good footballer and now he’s improved so much with the 91.2% passing rate. He is on track to be in leadership group. What made you think I didn’t follow him keenly?
