I appreciate your feedback. I can't wait to hear it. I ordered mine from Music Direct so it might be a while before mine arrives. I knew this would be a winner. Thank you. 😃
Thanks Melinda, I think you're going to really enjoy this one as I did. Cheers - F
Look forward to seeing your review when you receive yours., Melinda. 🤔
Darn it Felipe you now have me thinking about the UHQR. I have the original mono, stereo, and the acoustic sounds versions.
Both great, I believe. AS I've said, you're good with all, but if you want that extra thing, it is worth it F
Thanks for your awesome videos. Hopefully a friend will buy it. I want to hear it, but I see about 6 Classic Series albums on the horizon to buy with that $$$.
Thanks Felipe 🎉
Excellent review and background detail, Felipe. This is an important piece of music which belongs in the UHQR catalogue.
It is true a landmark record, deserves to have such an edition
Fantastic review Felipe! Love the historical background context too!
Thanks! I’ve learned that context always helps understanding a little more the significance and purpose of a piece of art, which is the case here. F
Great stuff, Felipe. Thanks for talking about this on the livestream tonight. It was a fun chat.
Thanks Nick, always a pleasure
Felipe, thank you for the introduction and brief history! You presented a thoughtful well rounded opinion of which I hold in high regard.
Thanks, Nick!
Thanks Felipe great review , I'm waiting for my pressing I have the Acoustic Sounds Series 33rpm and the Analogue Productions 44 rpm . This good review along with the ones I've read on the forums give me hope for this release
Great review Felipe and excellent breakdown of the instruments and the players loved it . I’m going to order it I’m definitely want to compare to my Analogue Productions cut by Kevin Gray from 2010 .
Thanks! I think this is quartet session where separation is quite evident, but this edition is really making it better F
Hey Lovell! I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I’m gonna do the same. I have the AP33, AP45 and just got my AP45 UHQR. Can’t wait!
@@143GADGETS hello Chris I will definitely let you know when I compare them
Thanks Felipe!! I haven’t spun up the UHQR yet, but will compare to my AP 45 (Impulse subscription series) and My UltraTape!
Hi Jeff, hope you like it, should be a very close race!
Nicely done. Very insightful video. I’m glad you gave impressions on all 3 pressings you have. Thanks Felipe!
Thanks, Arnaldo!
Great stuff Filipe. Get mine around Thursday. Looking forward to it.
Thanks, Felipe! I have the AP 2010 remaster cut on 45s by KG/ATM pressed by Pallas. Sounds so great, and I doubt that the UHQR will deliver significant sound and pressing improvement. Anyone with such experience?
I'm new to your channel. Great review! I really enjoyed it! A Love Supreme is a fantastic release and very worthy of the UHQR treatment. My copy is so quiet and clear -- a real masterpiece!
Thanks for leaving a comment and welcome to the channel! F
I have a 1995 Impulse ltd Edition reissue of A Love Supreme that is very well rated and all analogue. I wonder how it compares to the UHQR which must be really good.
Yes I saw the Bernie Grundman reissue from wallmart. I haven't listened but heard it was a really good copy for 27 bucks.
Thanks for your very informative reviews!
Hi, Felipé
Just to be clear - of the ALS pressings you own, your ranking SQ wise =
1. UHQR
2. 2020 Acoustic Sounds 33 rpm
3. 1969 VG+ OG
?
Exactly, that’s how I feel about those copies I had the chance to compare. There might be great ones out there as well. I had a clean OG to compare, and the UHQR brings that extra color. If you don’t want to spend that much, the 33 is a great copy as well.
Thanks for watching!
@@JazzBums • I did get the UHQR.
And yes MY GOD!
Unbelievable across the board (so to speak). So intimate yet so powerful and clear as a bell.
Thanks again for assisting in making the decision 🙏🏽
Awesome Review ❤
Great rundown Felipe
Thanks a lot!
Great review Felipe! I really got a lot out of this and it confirms a lot of what Im hearing on my new Record - my only previous copy to this was a blue walmart version that is the same metal as the AP - but different pressing plant - this UHQR is phenomenal! Love the Jazz Bums!
Thanks for the kind comment and that the review was helpful! F
I"m not an audiophile & I know I"m in the great minority in considering "LOve Supreme " a bit overated & thereis better Coltrane out there-I'm indifferent to Coltrane's religious quest.@@JazzBums
Fantastic vid .🙏
I have the 2010 Limited Edition 45 rpm of this masterpiece issued by AP/QRP in 2010. It's mastered from the original analogue tapes, and I really wonder whether this UHQR will be significantly better than that one to justify the cost for the UHQR. What would you do? 🤔
I think it should be very close. I have all the blue note 45 series from AP and it’s terrific. You’re probably fine with what you have, and it’ll not sell out so fast, so there’s time to decide or even try for yourself. Thanks for watching F
@@JazzBums Thanks for your reply, F. This is may favorite small group jazz album of all time, so I'm torn. The UHQR does have all the nice extras. Chad says there are a few drops on their earlier 45 rpm version that aren't on the UHQR. Then again, I have my eye on a resonator guitar I'd like to buy. I could put the money towards that. Decisions, decisions...😎
Hi Filipe!... I don't have an og but have the Speakers corner (VG+) and the 2020 Analogue productions copy. .Yes the 45rom is the best.. but is it +$$$ better... i was not sure if I should pay this much for a record when I have 2 good copy's --but I agree with you.. it dynamic. I haven't listened to this record for about 2 years since its sometimes over played (So much great Trane around)... I bet they sell out all 10K copy's .. this will be a classic (I got # 318 !!).. Miss you guys--I'll try ad get to watch Fri night.. say hi to the rest of the bums!--- JG
Hey Jack, thanks for the feedback! Yes, this record sounds great as some other versions as well. It’s a personal choice, and the best one is always the one that makes you happy. You’re always welcome to join the live stream, we’ll be there again this week!
I have a Limited Edition with laminated jacket Japanese pressing from 1976 that beats all my other copies.
Even the UHQR.
Interesting, what was the source tape for the '76 Japanese pressing and who mastered it?
@@audiophileman7047 don’t know. Don’t care. Just know it sounds Incredible. The detail is mesmerizing.
@@robertendsley8312what did you think of the UHQR?
@@UFO_computers it’s EXCELLENT!
Many thanks for your review, I have the 45rpm analogue production. I don't buy this one.
Great vídeo. Thanks
