The thing about G-Shock is that they still look good even if they are large. They are almost designed to be oversized and the brighter the colors, the better. It's a statement watch in many ways.
Re: the cut strap, my wife bought a CasiOak and cut the strap, then used a filer to round the edges to the same shape of the original end and denim to shine it up. Looks just like the original end. I think she found the tutorial somewhere online.
Im sure there is. I actually like the little over hang. Mine is just barely over but I think its part of gshocks style beside the use for bigger wrists.
From the first purchase of a G-Shock the addiction begins. I now have two watch collections, my G-Shock/Casio collection and those other ticking things that cost a bundle more. I can't say which I prefer but they both have a place in my collection(s). After admitting my G-Shock addiction I have managed to slow down but it was difficult with so many options available. Drinking less coffee helped, drinking more alcohol didn't. It's a condition that I am now managing. The G-shock square must be my favourite as I have a few, the full metal squares are close behind. A few analogue digital examples including the old Mudmaster also lurk in the shadows that are in the rotation. I love them all and that is what matters. Oh and I don't have any Casioaks yet..... Oddly I still wear my old Casio Illuminator but intend at some point to venture into the F91W territory that I experienced decades ago. Calculator watch anyone?.
Ahhh you’re SOO right Anthony… the addiction has honestly BEGUN! I have about 3 tabs currently open of more g shocks I want to buy! 🙈🙈 and as for illuminator vs F91W. I’m team illuminator all the WAAAY babeh!
@@BrittPearceWatches My journey began with a DW-5600HR-1DR, that my dad bought me for my 13th birthday, I knew the brand before but wasn't as keen on it. For next 3 years no new ones, because I didn't have the money but regularily looked up on what's new. And this year I've purchased 5 Casios! My parents say, that im really crazy about these watches. Btw. I have now: vanilla F-91W (great watch for wearing at home, I'd surely get more of these just different versions), GA-700MG, AWG-M100SRB, GA-900-1A4ER, DW-5600 with the red skeleton band
I have a Casio F 91W from 1992. When I worked at Xerox they gave out these watches with an electrostatic ground wire snap on the band. It says XEROX on the header where Casio would be. 10 batteries later, still keeps good time and an almost daily wearer.
Well done Britt. They are bloody addictive, Im nearly 67 and got into them a few years ago. In the last week I have added a Yellow, White and Blue and White one to my collection and I wear them not hide them away in their snazzy boxes!!!

When you cut the plastic strap to shorten it. You can cut a bevel left and right to match the original shape of the GShock strap end and reduce the sharp edges. Put trace lines for exact cuts.
Oh no! No no no no noooooo!!! All I can see is that super short yellow strap hahaha ✂😂🤣 that GShock mod livestream was so funny, I'm so glad I was there to see it 😆😆
welcome to g shock life ! I picked up a g shock rangemaster last year - it is a great watch. Tim Tim is a live stream prince . nice job gringa - ~ JDS/CT
Alcohol and watch mods don’t mix! I have the DWE-5600 and love the yellow - reminds me when Casio originally introduced the yellow square in the late 80s…when I was in high school! Ketchup and mustard rules so live on the edge, Gringa!

Funny timing. I've gone from never owning a g-shock to buying two this month. Both Casioaks. 7½" wrist. GA2100SKE-7A (Transparent) because it was the one half price from a local jeweller. Took the clear strap straight off and will replace it with aftermarket rubber or silicon. GM2100N-2A (Metal - blue) bought off shore on-line because 🤷♂price way cheaper. Probably fit aftermarket strap on this one too. Both will get worn but not a massive amount due to .... competition.
I just got a casioak as well. I never wanted a g shock over the last 10 years I been collecting then got the urge and picked it up a hour later for 99 bucks. I have been loving it so far
Gringa I have had a few and they were so rugged and they never let me down. I just gave my last one to my Dad who is a diesel mechanic and his watches kept breaking down. I know they are both in good hands now and I get the chance to get a new one. We pay around $100 per Watch here in USA. Nice video! Very good quality! Oh idk if you did it already but that’s the same issue I had with G Shocks, too much overhang on the strap. What I did is yeah I cut it. Some G-Shock models has a smaller version targeted for females. Eg: The GMA-S140 is the 'female' model for the male's GA140 and so on. Or, you can just get a Baby-G which is definitely way smaller :)
Bought a G-Shock Casio-oak 😉out of boredom in an airport 2 years ago Downloaded the app Spent the next thirty minutes trying to connect my iPhone to the bloody watch and get synchronization to work Got pissed off Uninstalled the app Sold the watch the next day Bought a Casio Duro blue dial as my beater watch Happy days ever since.

Oh what a choice! ;) I highly approve!
GA B2100 is the casioak with tough solar and Bluetooth. I got the yellow, it’s pimped.
Some G-Shock models has a smaller version targeted for females. Eg: The GMA-S140 is the 'female' model for the male's GA140 and so on. Or, you can just get a Baby-G which is definitely way smaller :)
Bought a G-Shock Casio-oak 😉out of boredom in an airport 2 years ago
Downloaded the app
Spent the next thirty minutes trying to connect my iPhone to the bloody watch and get synchronization to work
Got pissed off
Uninstalled the app
Sold the watch the next day
Bought a Casio Duro blue dial as my beater watch
Happy days ever since.
The cutting of the strap lmfao 🤣 I just got the G shock model 2339 for $50 I love it
