I have a suggestion for the next gen LaserPecker. It needs to have a light so that when using the cone you can see the work surface. And have a visual representation of the progress in the app by showing a line on the art being engraved where it is in the process. And why does it disconnect when I hit pause or stop in the app? I then have to unplug the machine and plug it back in and reconnect and set all my settings again only to have to do it again when I pause/stop again to take a look at how it's going! And why doesn't the app stay running in the background? If I have to use my phone at all it disconnects from the machine. WTF? And one more thing. Why is the cut function only at 1k? It should be at 8k! Try cutting paper or wood and instead of cutting a line it cuts a line of dots that can be looked through and makes it impossible to cut all the way through. Even after 50 passes! And maybe put a mirror in the for the cut so the beam comes straight down at a 90 degree angle to the work surface so the edges of the cut aren't at an angle. Or change the app so it automatically adjusts speed/power when cutting L/R edges because the sides always take more passes to cut than top/bottom cuts.

Thank you for your valuable suggestions! We appreciate your feedback and will definitely take them into consideration for future improvements of the LaserPecker. Enhancing visibility with a built-in light and providing a visual representation of engraving progress are excellent ideas that we'll explore further in our development process.

Another question. Do you plan on selling a different focal length lens upgrade so we can do larger items? 6 in x 12 in is a little small. It would be nice to be able to do at least 9 in x 18 in.@@LaserPecker

For the light (and air assist), if you’re careful, what I did was drill 2- 1/4” holes in the side rear of cone (not removable protection lense). I ran an air assist line to keep workspace clean while engraving/cutting, as well as a small LED light with usb power that plugs into Y connector straight into LP5. Both have a switch to turn on/off, as well quick connects so they can be easily disconnected if you want to take the cone off. Everything stays mounted properly and easily connect/disconnected. I’ll take/upload some pics if interested, but I’m at work currently. The key is to mount high enough they cannot interfere with the actual laser, but also to make sure while filling your holes, nothing will be in the way of airline or wire once it’s mounted. Mount the cone, mark locations, dismount cone and drill on a higher speed with a proper drill bit but with very LITTLE PRESSURE on drill to avoid cracking. Let the bit do the work, it takes 5-seconds.
As far as a bigger work area/focal point, use the slide extension. Lasers capable of longer distance are extremely powerful and if the expense doesn’t sway you, the safety aspect will. Gotta remember now you’ll have the opposite problem, you may get better results further away, but anything close will get burned through or worse (cut through your table, haha). Seriously though, even the large belt driven frame lasers have a short goal distance, they just move all over on the axis points. The safety regulations would be hard to meet with a greater focal distance, as again, the laser would have to be extremely powerful and the software would have to be substantially more specific to program each distance to avoid over/under engraving. I’m sure all will come in time, but lasers are not cheap and certainly not for everyone. Imagine a high powered laser in the wrong hands. BTW: I realize you’re not speaking of 10-feet, but point is still the same as adding significant power to allow greater distances could cause a lot of damage. Hope some of this makes sense/helps, I tend to get wordy… If you do want pics of the light/air assist, let me know and I’ll check back.
