Her and I are the same age. So when I first saw her in The Adams Family when it came out, I thought she was adorable. She was hysterically funny too, I think she stole the show in both movies. She’s 41 now, like me, and she doesn’t look a day over 30. I look kind of young for my age, but nothing like her. Very talented and underrated in my opinion.

She has hyper-neotonious "Disney" doll eyes and face. I can't help but think that is 90% of the reason people pile praise on her rather than any actual thing she's accomplished. The only two movies I remember her from are Addams Family and Casper. I'm not suggesting she's a bad actress or unaccomplished, just that she's pretty overhyped based on little more than her appearance. Her mystery and uniqueness between her dark and light roles make her stand out as an amazing actress that lives up to her " strange beauty " and makes her stand apart from all the typical women you see on tv today. She has always been my idol.
I'm super sad to hear that her ex was abusive. I nanny for a family that used to live in the same building as her. I'd see her in passing before, during, and after her pregnancy and she was always just a really sweet, down to earth person. She was actually the first person that my (used to be) little work baby ever waved to as an infant. I'm sad that she was going through so much and we passed each other so often & I never had a clue. I've always loved her work and thought she was quite an unconventional beauty that made her stand out in a good way. I'm glad she in a better place personally & professionally now.

Hollywood's crazy anyway. One of the things I like about Christina Ricci is that despite being a bit of an outsider, she comes across as one of the more sane and authentic celebrities. If most actresses accused their spouse of domestic violence, I'd roll my eyes and assume it's another Amber Heard situation. In Christina's case though, I'm 90% certain she's telling the truth. I'm not blind to the possibility that she could be lying but it's out of character because 1) she married a nobody so she clearly wasn't in it for more money or a boost to her career and 2) she's doesn't seem to particularly like being showered with attention because she prefers indie projects which let her just act without needing to deal with the media.
I helped her aunt, who came into the store I was working at. When I realized who she was, I said Christina was one of my favorite actresses. Her attitude turned icy, and was uncomfortable :(

I really don't think there is much of a mystery here she is over 40 now so Hollywood casting directors have 'lost' her number like so many before her. She is not weird-looking or lovely quirky but has been cast as that over her career. She is a good actress but there are thousands of younger women that get cast before her. Christina is my Wednesday Jenna has done absolutely amazing with the revamping of the character though I was born in 1991 and I watched Christina Ricci throughout childhood I was interested in the show because of Christina Ricci (She's a legend to me and an Icon one of my top favorite actresses) I give Jenna credit for capturing the essence of Wednesday.
