As of February 2006, more than a year after the tsunami, a large number of people were still living in barrack-style temporary living centers (TLC) or tents. Reconstruction was visible everywhere, but due to the sheer scale of the disaster, and logistic difficulties, progress was slow. A study in 2007 estimated that 83.6% of the population had a psychiatric illness, while 69.8% suffers from severe emotional distress.

- Arrive in Jakarta, stay for about 3 nights 4 days.
- By train ( u can try WOOSH the fast train ) to Bandung.
Stay in Bandung & Lembang for about 3 nights 4 days.
- From Bandung u can go by train or flight to Jogjakarta gor about 4 nights 5 days.
- Go to Malang by train. Go to Batu ( check their high quality amusement park )
- Bromo & Tumpak Sewu
- By plane go to Bali for at least 7 nights
- after that u can cross the chanel with ferry or plane to Lombok
- Or straight to Labuan Bajo
