    Amazing how Chase looked like the smoothest, fastest guy next to Eli last year, and without him changing much at all, he now looks stiff next to Jett. Jett really leveled up the sport this year!

    • @DavidMinkCCCMD
      @DavidMinkCCCMD 10 месяцев назад +2

      I thought that too. Last year we kept hearing about how smooth Chase was and how much Eli had the “Bulldog” style.. now they’re described Chase’s style as bulldog a handful of times.

      Yet Roczen didn’t race outdoors and he raced one race and Jett couldn’t pull away from him. Tomac could pull away from Roczen outdoors. Too many ppl were hurt this year to even compare.

    • @mingomane1
      @mingomane1 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@mxr248I think Eli would have one at least a moto. Chase isn’t good enough with starts. Jett was always starting either first or right there. His starts are crazy good.

      @jayryan1956 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@mxr248so why are you comparing Jett and roczen? One race and he still dropped the bike? How many races did Jett drop the bike? Everyone’s saying what if who gives a F it s what it is and Jett dominated the season regardless of who was injured especially when you’re putting 40-60 second gaps on third place lol

    I heard Jett say he train's standing up in a wind tunnel. And he rides at lower rpm's and this allows the bike to absorb impacts better! And he rides with a calm mind! Most riders allow anxiety to start right at the gate drop! It's hard I know but it's so important to always stay calm to perform at your maximum potential!

    It’s all in the hips like Chubbs from happy Gilmore said. Ryno is a genius when it comes to rider technique and love that he works with forkner and impressive to see such a change with that rider

    • @MrIke303
      @MrIke303 10 месяцев назад +1

      Fucking Happy Gilmore! One of the best. But yes, glad Ryno is working with Forkner again. Honestly though, he had a few hard races back. I think he started reacting based off instinct instead of being aware in the moment enough to remember what he has learned with Ryno. Seems to be much better now. Smarter. Craftier. The kid has speed! And he’s a shark like Deegan is. He’ll be back.

    Ryno is 100% right about this. I learned how to ride using every bad technique under the sun growing up but I've been learning how to ride using Jett's technique through another riding academy and I can honestly say, I was blown away by how much the bike was moving around underneath me and I didn't even realize it was doing all that movement until I watched a video my wife took of me. I feel completely relaxed and much safer as a rider now and I've gotten to the point where I know instantly if I allow myself to change technique at all and can correct it right away. It's taken alot of work but it's been well worth it.

    This is the same guy that was raving over Sexton when he beat Tomac in one race and was saying how Sexton was going to be the next phenom. At that time I said, no, he's not because he doesn't have the mentality of a all-time winning champion. This comes down to mindset, and Jett is an all-time champion due to mindset. Yes, both his style and technique are brilliant, but you have to have the championship mindset. Only a few great ones out there, like Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, Michael Jordan, etc. In motocross it's the same thing, some are great and some are all time great champions, but it all comes down to their mindset. The few great ones just don't make the dumb mistakes as all the others. They have that one extra click in their brain that does everything for them, you can't even teach this greatness, you're either great or not.Simple fact.

    Clearly Jett's technique is the best out there and shows the flaws in everyone else around him that tries to keep up. The other thing I noticed was how well he soaks up jumps without any crazy scrubbing off the face. He stays so much lower, gets back on the ground faster and it doesn't look like he puts a bunch of effort on the face of the jump. Jett seems to make every inch of the track work for him it doesn't seem to matter where he goes, inside/outside, he still makes it look fast and work for him.

    Good point and thanks for the explanation.
    I keep hearing that you need to control the bike with your feet even while turning, and while that's important, I've noticed that I often use my hands in a turn to control the lean of the bike (as well as throttle control), which allows me to relax my body while the bike is leaning and turning more or less with a light push of my hands.

    Jett really is one of those generational talents that will have all of his competition and every kid coming up, watching hours of video to emulate his technique. McGrath did it in the mid 90s with actually trying to stay low and absorbing jumps vs. wicked boner air. Carmichael forced everyone to train like a dog or exit the sport. James Stewart made everyone start scrubbing. Jett just rewrote the book entirely.

    Great assessment, Ryan! Speaking of vertebral mobility and positioning, nobody seems to talk about Jett’s neck. I’m not sure what his program is but he has serious neck strength including deep neck flexor endurance which helps with visual acuity, concussion prevention, and maintaining a neutral spine through the whole chain. Chase caught on to the neck gain game. His neck has grown quite a bit this season.

    Ryno just casually pointing things out that no one else thinks to work on and makes a huge difference, so cool! You should talk about Danger boys posture/style, he seems to crawl around on the bike a lot more than Jett and Chase, do you think that is something that will change as he matures? Do you think his riding style can beat someone like Jett or Chase?

      Deegan reminds me of Tomac in beast mode, just going crazy fast no matter how he positions his body. My view is that he sits a lot more to the rear than some of the top guys, kinda like Villopoto in that regard.

      Deegan won't change much its his style and he's able to throw faster laps than Jett while riding a 250. Haiden rides the edge like tomac. But he's comfortable doing it. Totally different styles. I'm way more entertained watching tomac and Deegan though. Can't deny Jett is Smooth as hell.

    To me it’s all throttle control, he holds onto the throttle ever so lightly around the corner, but he only turns it on exactly at the right time. Not slightly to early where it creates slight sliding of the tail end and then waiting for it to lock in and traject. He patiently waits, right when it’s the sweet spot and his tail end is exactly at the right time to hit on the gas he locks in and goes forward. Go ahead and watch, it’s insane.

    Here's the dealio. Jett has incredible reflexes hence his great starts and riding maneuverability as you describe. Jett weighs about 10/20 pounds less than the other riders which helps with the weight to horsepower ratio. Jett is only 20 years old and has great endurance as Dungey had. Jett's not afraid to send it. Jett can see far ahead of where he needs to go and instantly calculates the best route in regards to the shortest distance and or the smoothest line. And no doubt he has incredible vision and peripheral vision. And he takes it seriously like a real go getter that flips the mental switch and tells himself, "I have to get the holeshot and I'm going to win this race" just as Bubba, Carmichael, Villopoto, Hannah. Jett's motivation is he knows that he owes it to his parents to perform to pay them back for their sacrifices. And of course a great well funded team with obviously a great bike. Collectively Jett is and has the whole package wrapped in a close supportive family which includes all the team members.
    What is Jett lacking for his age?
    Can't wait to see them all at the Colosseum 👊✊💪

    In supercross I still think chase looks the best. Maybe that style doesn't translate as well In outdoors ? Idk I'm no expert . Where as jetts style looks insane outdoors because it really lets him use his perfect technique and long legs , where as supercross I don't think Jett gets to stretch out and use the hips and lower back as much. Sexton in supercross really does look next level .
