Jakuby -a festivity of the old town & Altstadtfest Goerlitz

Always on the last weekend of August, always with a rich artistic programme and always referring to the history of the town. This is what the Jakuby fair in Zgorzelec is like. It constitutes a twin event for the Altstadtfest fair taking place in the same time in Goerlitz. One event is a supplement to the other one, the same way as our both towns are halves of the same apple. And we are extremely happy that thanks to them, the residents of both towns can rest, have fun and integrate together, on such a great scale. Every year several dozen of guests from Germany take advantage of the cultural and culinary offer of Jakuby and a similar number of guests from Poland visits Goerlitz. We hope that this year it will be the same.
