You do not need to say a prayer to be saved. In all the salvations in the Book of Acts, not a single person said a prayer. Other than that, this was a good Sermon. Jesus is our Savior, not a prayer, not even faith or baptism adds anything to Christ”s work on the cross. I disagree with baptism being something that I do, baptism is God”s work, not my work, because of it baptism saves 1 Peter 3:21 . Romans 6 also clearly teaches than in baptism we die to sin and rise with Christ, we are born again. It is a mistake for Rick Warren to state baptism is our work and does not save, on the contrary baptism saves precisely because it is God”s work and not ours.

Jesus taught that obedience is still required to enter his kingdom:
Matthew 5:30
He said, "And if your right hand causes you to stumble, (sin) cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell."
Hypocrites and lukewarm Christians claim a belief in Jesus, but they don't follow him.
Jesus said, "Go and sin no more." The majority of his followers contradict him.
Some even mock at the command that he gave us to live by.
Jesus did not make mistakes in the language he used, yet countless Christians feel that it is their duty to speak for him and to correct him. Many even say that he didn't mean that, or he meant to say something else. They will even use his own bible scriptures against him to try and prove him wrong.
It takes a lot of arrogance to challenge his authority, and those who do will be counted among his enemies. Those who reject his word reject him.
When Jesus said "Go and sin no more" it was a command, not a suggestion. False Christians contradict Jesus. They say that sinning, even daily, is a normal part of Christian life, and it is even expected of us all. They know nothing about the work of the Holy Spirit to transform us to righteousness, and if they are told, they deny it.
2 Timothy 4;3-4 warns us:
"For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."
The Book Of Hebrews agrees with the teachings of Jesus that obedience is required and sin leads to Hell.
"Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?"
with all due respect the criminal who was saved did not speak merely two words 'remember me' but after rebuking the other criminal he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." Thus satisfying the requirements of salvation. the criminal admitted to the other they were getting what they deserved for their deeds; he apparenly believed in his heart and he confessed with his mouth Jesus is Lord. So merely asking Jesus to 'remember me' does not get one into heaven.
What a shame, that prayer will put more people in hell with a false salvation. Nowhere in the Bible does it say to repeat some man made prayer. Jesus says in order to come unto me, my father, which sent me must first draw you. You must go to him with a broken heart and a contrite spirit. Bible says, for we know not what we should pray for the spirit will intercede for us.. first you must realize who Jesus is, you must realize you’re a sinner, and worthy of nothing but death and hell, the spirit must draw you, you must repent, and be born again. Then there must be a change from the inside out.
