Paul- The way your free handed the end of the hex stock for the broach lets me think you might make a great dental assistant .when you grow up ! Seriously . The idea of removing stock from the inside rather than trying to remove material from six sides for clearance on the od on something that small is much easier. Did it really needed to be hardened? i'm thinking hex key stock might be hard enough? thanks
