That would most definitely end bad for John Petrucci as far as fighting not playing but as far as bicep size and being strong arm size wouldn't in too good for Mr Petrucci
uhm I don't speak spanish but I think I got your question, if you buy the 2CD version of black clouds and silver linings you can find all the instrument and vocal stems of the songs!
hey dude, I bought the 2cd version of bc&sl but the 2nd cd are the tracks for all the instruments at the same time... how did you do to isolate the guitar part? thank you!
im not talking about the effects, i mean his tone changes from section to section. like 1:44. you can hear it change when it goes to a lead sound.. its interesting to notice stuff like this on isolated tracks
Oh, definitely. What i mean is that it thickens considerably, and if you consider double or quad tracking + slight chorus it can be explained. I doubt he double tracks leads besides harmony, and solo boosts tend to put more mids and take away bass
+Wiktor Malek That goes beyond question, mate. The point is figuring out how are those channels different, because i think the Mark V (IV? i really don't know for this album) have the same gain structure for the hotter channels, being different only in the independent eq settings (or was that his new sig? i can´t remember that well). Point is, there's definitely a different approach to the production of each tone, so it's cool to speculate how and why.
This thumbnail is both extremely good and wrong at the same time! I love it. Bravo XD
Labrie: "DA FUCK"
ahah I took that picture during a concert here in italy!
This is so tight you can't tell if it's in D or D#

James face is everyone's reaction to petrucci playing haha
the face of labrie in that picture is priceless haha
Damn I love that verse riff tone!! Like a razor blade cutting my teeth.
You want say like a RAZOR EDGE))
0:54 crack these skulls open
I'm sure looking at the size of John petrucci's arms and biceps he could probably do that very easily badass
Even though he can outplay him the one man he wouldn't want to run into as far as the same environment and music and style is Zakk Wylde

this is soo awesome just to hear petrucci on the chorus is awesome cheers dude!
James' face... I lost it!
2:59 the walking dead?
Funny thing, the first time I heard the Walking Dead Theme I thought of "AROP". The show premiered after Black Clouds & Silver Linings was released.
wow, i though that was from the internet, good and funny picture xD
I’m here for 4:52
I came here for the solo...

Could you upload all of the song's¡ ?? Thankyou from Mexico
Cool!
Interesting how they don't include the solo guitar.
I think there is an specific stem just for the guitar solos, really

how to made guitar stem?
this is from the bonus disc of bcsl
why does the general tone, and thickness of the guitar vary from section to section?
It's just a bit of chorus. Petrucci seems way too fond of it nowadays.

Actually it's just different channel in his amp.

the guitar sounds like it's played through a wah pedal all the way.
+Russel Blacker Just sounds uber compressed to me...but amazing tone either way \m/
@@MegaDTSX1 yeah I agree Since distortion Compresses and so does humbuckers. Also sounds like he scooped alot of mids on his amp to me.
Labrie looks like some type of medieval kind
FUCKING A!
Джигурда! О_о
