I watched this today for the first time. I loved it. Like you say, it is a lot like life. I’m glad I saw it before I die and hopefully I’ll have time to watch it a few more times. 😀

Always a nice surprise to see a new episode jump out in the home. I'm a longtime fan of this series. I haven't seen this one. But Ainuk Aimee is, among other things, one of Fellini's muses too (she's in 8 1/2 and La dolce vita). 2024 will be at long last the year Fellini would deserve a spot in the series? I hope so 🤞🤌

I think it's a very good debut film with many nice touches but most people would pick Umbrellas of Cherbourg and The Young Girls of Rochefort as his masterpieces although Agnes Varda picked another film Une Chambre en ville as her favourite. Anouk Aimee reprised the part of Lola eight years later in Demy's The Model Shop,not in the Criterion set,which is set in LA and which is a favourite of Tarantino,influencing the look of certain scenes in Once upon a time in Hollywood.
