Love to see a young fellow getting it done, great video.
Really enjoy watching all the new calves grow and explore the farm! At least they are getting a good home! Love all the coloring on each of the calves awe love the little kitty cat, missed seeing the little fluffy ball! Hopefully they will stay healthy!
Now that's a t shirt !!! 👌I admire your compassion..
So many flashy dudes. Beautiful ! The little Jersey you adopted out is adorable and very sweet...You work a full time job too ? Omgoodness you're a very busy guy... ! 🐮🐄 ...✋ Ginger has alot of cuddly companions to stay warm with. 💓 🐈
Congratulations on getting your job. Fellow MSU grad 69. Old farmer now. Keep raising those calves and keeping good heifers back. Job plus cow herd equals bright future.
Heyyy I was no joke so excited when I saw the notification!!!
Love watching these videos here in Ireland. Nice to see all the calves running around and looking so happy.
kevin o regan Hi Kevin irish here too.
Nice job. Enjoy the updates. Thanks
Yikes You are a very ambitious young man, you put in the hard work and it will pay off. Congratulations on the new job and thank you for the extra video , enjoyed it.
That made me smile. Your doing a good job.
love the variety of colors and breeds.. calves !! so fun to watch the antics, being loocked in calf huts apears sad. they enjoy the running and chasing,, freedom!! the cat is getting bigg!! thanks iren. what is the full time job. or is it a future video and i will have to be patient!!
Isaac, congrats on the new job. You are going to be one busy guy, working full-time and also taking are of 41 bottle calves.
Beautiful new calf's, thanks for sharing and please be safe! that cat rocks. check out Idaho pasture pigs, they are awesome pigs if you can find some near your farm!
Love all those calves. Nice video!
I love it ,they are beautiful, not hard to tell you love your work, and calves, wish I was closer to help, taake care have fun Hugs
Big group of nice looking calfs, take care bud!
Makes me miss raising bottle calf’s. Just simply don’t have the time anymore but for several years I raised a set every year.
Awesome video, I’m interested in doing this myself just still a lot to learn.
I think your going to have to give him a raise adding all that extra work to the kitten !
I cannot get enough of those babies!!!!!
Great video!
Awesome calves love the curly good name for Curly
How do you get your nurse cow to accept new calves? That would be a great video to learn from!
I would think most of his previous calves are also on some grain and will join the three on grass. the new ones seem to be bigger and on the milk bar and easier to care for at the time. don't be surprised to see a few more. lots of grass for months.
Affectionate and energetic creatures.
Can u do a video on what u put in your replacer how to help scours ?? And how long u feed them milk for?
Great video
How are the Cavs that you let out the 3 Cavs that you let out to pasture
Your little cat is so cute, does he go by the big bulls
You're very gentle with your calves! How do you clean the poop off their backsides!?
I guess somehow you just hose it off? Probably cold and uncomfortable to the calf,
but it cleans them up and in the case of runny poop, it prevents scours?
Howdy. Is there a grain ration that you can economically start these calves on? Do you need to feed milk?
Post notifications on love it!
I enjoy your video's. You seem to enjoy what you are doing and explain things well. I may have missed it but what is your other job?
I want that belted calf just like the other one you have
Kitten knows when the camera going. What else do you do
What’s your full time job?
People are probably not getting rid of them due to the crazy going on.prices and wanting to make sure they have enough meat for themselves. I thought I saw that black and white calf with the curly coat limping.if he is I'd check for joint ill or what's called a naval infection.vet prescribed antibiotics for that if it does.
I was think you should look in to sment feed bunks for them then that cant move them
isaac: i have too many calves
also issac: so i got 13 more calves
I thought this was a mistake from other years (a reupload)
The most girls we’ve ever got was 90 head
@@StephenMortimer هننههههههه
nice calfs .you breed them or theres a source to buy please want to know prices if possible
Good video, what do you do with the calves once they're raised
Sell them
That is a big ass load
What kind of scour pill do you use?
What is you full time job?
The white belly, do you know if there is any Belted Gallaway in it. The fur doesn't look shaggy enough but the sire may not have passed on his hair, but his colourway. They do have some excellent marbled meat because of the shaggy 2 layer coat.
He is out of a belted gyr bull and a dairy cross cow I believe.
Precious little one's
How old are those calves?
Hi! Do you know some calves for sale site? These days I want to buy some and now I don t find any
Why did you buy all bulls
Kitten needs a fur trim. Cute calves, especially the banded one. Ok, working full time in addition to the farm? Are you crazy or Superman?
Definitely not Superman, I think I’m just crazy!
Where you getting all these calves
A few different local dairies. Check craigslist or Facebook groups for people selling some in your area
What’s your other job
How long do you keep calves on the nurse cow?
Normally about 3-4 months. Then we put the next set on.
Ware do you work
wow 43 babies I only did 21 at one time. They are so cute lol
What breed did you say those big red baldfaced spotted calves are
They are out of fleckvieh bulls and dairy cows.
What does is the cost of milk? Or how much replacer does it take from start to Wien?
It'll take 2 bags of milk replacer per calf to get them up to 2 months old which is when he will wean them
I just use 1 50lb bag of milk replacer per calf. Each bag is about $73. I’ll wean them at 6-8 weeks of age.
What are the red and white colored calves mixed with
They are out of fleckvieh bulls and dairy cross cows
Are you on other sites? Where are you located? I just ran across your site today and would like to share this with others.
I’m just on Instagram and I’m in Missouri. Thanks for watching!
Just found your videos. I assume since they are all bulls they are for meat?
Eventually yes they will all enter the food chain
Guess I've watched you for awhile but I looked in your "about" area and you don't really gave a bio! Where are you located???
We are in Missouri 👍
What city is this?
Missouri
Do you have or plan on getting 🐔
Look on KSL
😁👍🤠
Do you sell directly to customers? Or could you give us the contact info for the farmers that sell cattle in your area? I want to raise a few
I sell at a sale barn. If I had a direct buyer I would probably use them but I haven’t found one at the moment.
I’ll take some of those of your hands
Does the one that has a belt round it have belted Galloway in it
mickey shears probably dutch belted
He was out of a belted gyr bull and a dairy cross cow. I’m guessing the belt came from the bull.
Ok thx
I love cows
kitten teaching calves climbing technique?
I think so😂
Hi
Bobby calves from milk production which would have gone for slaughter for veal.
How is the corona situation out there?
Just have a few cases in Missouri. I’m not to worried about our local area for the most part.
@@FarmandHammer You are very very lucky...
The cows were so cute when they were all eating and their tails were all going at the same time. Why don't you farm full-time?
I don’t own any land and can’t afford to buy any without a job. That is my future goal though!
@@FarmandHammer how many cows do you own?
@@FarmandHammer You have a good goal. Don't let the virus derail you from getting to it.
What is your target wean weight?
Since I wean at 2 months and have different breeds, I don’t have a target ww. But I just eyeball it and I have different expectations for each calf depending on how big they were at birth and what breed they are.
Farm & Hammer so what would you say a good weight is to not be on milk? I wanna skip bottle feeding and just feed em out
Hey I watch this RUclips channel it called weed and reap and they have baby piglets that there raising there kune kune pigs and then sell them
The ones you called black white faces are called black baldies
Yes they can be called a lot of things. Baldies, Black baldies, and black white faces are the most common. In most reports in my area they are listed as BWF.
fresh meat for the coyotes and bob-cats..... enjoy
Probably not available because bacon really isn’t available at the stores.
I hope your getting them cheap.
Give the neighbour that crook one, it will do a bloody sight better on a cow
Sup
Why do you use nothing but bulls?
I have about an even split of heifers and bulls. Almost all of the first 20 I got were heifers. Now I’m mainly trying to get some more bulls to sell.
NICE job like always , TRY acer of clay, look them up they might have a pig or two
Try clean in your pens
once in a while
Please don't separated calves from their mother.
Part Brahman, my @SS!!! That's a Swiss/Holstein/Dutch Belted calf.....learn your Breed ID....
LOL
The calf is out of a belted gyr bull (zebu generics). The farmer I get them from doesn’t have any brown Swiss or even any brown Swiss crosses. He mostly has fleckvieh, Holstein, jersey, Normandy, and reds.
@@FarmandHammer why ain't he got extry ear....if he's a Gyr? ???😞
