- Prior to running their scheduled Steam to the Cove on Saturday, Sept. 18, Everett Railroad #11, a 2-6-0 Mogul built by American Locomotive Company in 1920, hauled four empty freight cars on the railroad's Claysburg branch from Claysburg, Pa. to Hollidaysburg, Pa.
Simply amazing all the steam restorations being done in recent years. It is also very special seeing steam performing revenue freight service.
What a beautiful steam engine. Really cool seeing one pull some freight cars

I could just have not known all these years but the way it seems….steam is starting to make a comeback? I hear constantly of new restoration projects and now a couple that use them in temporary branch line services. This railway looks like an absolute delight to film and even better to model, my first small Dcc sound steamer is a 2-6-0 and it’s what made me fall in love with steam. I have about 10 more to buy now haha
This is kool , I love watching ol steam engine trains and other steam powered things nice , thanks BigAl California, I love it , thanks BigAl California.
I am NOT at all familiar with this railroad. But, I got a really big kick outta seeing my name on the tender! I really enjoyed seeing that! By the way, nice looking engine. 😁😂☝️👀
Oh wow Congratulations on your new business...Many God Prayers for overwhelming more freight business..
This has got to be our Favorite Video...Switching cars out of a Transloads. With a Steam engine...This Shortline and we assume a tourist Railway is Neat and very innovative.....
Almost looks like it's missing a set of drivers in the front, lol. This is cool to see someone other that Strasburg run revenue steam freight.
All I can say is beautiful
What a cracking looking locomotive that is, sounds just beautifull, from a UK railfan,
EXCLT VID THE 11 IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE LOCOMOTIVES NICE TO SEE ITS DOING WELL NICE TO SEE IT PULLING FREIGHT
What Fond memories. thank you for this video. I had the rare pleasure of riding, what I think, was the last run of the 2-6-2 #11, way back in the fall of 1970. I recall the station was up a fairly steep grade. i can't remember the name of the town any more. It was 51 years ago. Thanks again for this video.
That Mogul really is living up to its name doing what it was designed to do - perform dual service; hauling that revenue freight in, and then pick up a passenger consist on the way back. Ironically, the speed they are doing is pretty much what mainline track speed (30-40 mph) was for trains back in that loco's day...unless it was a fast passenger train.
Excellent video!
It be so Cool if ,on Every freight car they handle put a 12 inch sticker on side of each car to advertise their beautiful rail to truck Transloads Facilities
Looks like yuo all got a little side job moving box cars and lumber racks ,with the steam locomotive , nice job guys and gals , I love it , thanks BigAl California praise Jesus grace Christ amen 🙏.
This steam switcher probably has more pulling power than one of today’s Dash units
Very Very cool, to see a vintage loco in revenue!! Is the loco a true 2-6-0 or is it supposed to be a 4-6-0, looks like there is more room than normal for the pilot wheels
Great video! Anyone know what type of whistle this has? It’s gorgeous!
