- Jeryn FINALLY came to conquer the Miata. Not only did she need some refreshers on how to drive manual, but she needed to learn how to drive a lower car than her Focus!

I like that she has “learned” like 3 times now 😂 not to hate she takes long breaks and doesn’t have any muscle memory
I mean, with a manual you keep learning for a while, where I live if you learn to drive with a relative you need to drive at least 1500km to be allowed to pass the driving test, I did almost 1900, I got my licence this monday, I've done over 350km since then, and I'm still learning to this day.
After like my first 50km ever I already knew how to drive without being stressed or stalling every 2s, but that doesn't mean that everything after isn't learning. Literally everytime I drive I feel that I'm getting better at it, I'm smoother, more confident, ...
So realistically 3 videos where she barely drives out of their town is almost nothing. I bet they didn't even drive more than like 30km or some shit like that.

@@emilytate5104 definitly have patience if you don’t have a garage, i bought a miata from copart back in august and i don’t have a garage and as soon as winter hit and it got cold, i stopped all work cause i just couldn’t stay outside long enough, im happy it’s finally warming up and i can start getting back to working on it, best of luck with the project
@@anthonypovoa3257 luckily I do have one, I had a NB 6 months ago and it was stolen, so I got a eclipse that’s from copart and finished it a couple weeks ago. Thinking about selling it and getting a Miata

Ok now that was pretty cool. Crazy seeing the difference in her comfort level from the video of you first teaching her stick to here. And it was AWESOME hearing the "It's kinda fun..." come out of her mouth finally. Driving stick is definitely super intimidating when you're starting out and learning but once you get the hang of it it just clicks and it suddenly becomes so much fun
Great job, I just wished I had you as my teacher when I was learning. Sheesh when I was learning back in elementary, the only advice/step they told me is “just feel the engine and that’s when you shift up/down”.
Don’t feel bad I daily drive a standard and sometimes still miss shifts. Your doing a great job

Haha this was literally me when I started learning, I still get sweaty and nervous but im getting so much better and it truly is stressful haha my Miata isnt that low but it definitely is a lot of fun! All your advice and teaching brings me back to a couple weeks ago learning down shifting and rev matching haha Im so excited for her

Best car memories - early 90s teaching my teen-aged niece how to drive an MGB in the high school parking lot. . Took her about 5 minutes to figure it out before she was wanting to do an autocross - I turned her loose on the roads and she did just fine. Girls are way more fun to teach than boys...
Don’t feel bad b, when I first started learning I got a “stick shift ride my ass at your own risk” bumper sticker and still wear it proudly after months of it being my daily 😂😂

I won't talk about me learning manual in 1986 on a honda 80. I was 6 years old at that time. Was a big bike for me, at the time. But it taught me a lesson. Manual trans today, is a thiefs worst nightmare HAHAHAH Have a happy 4th yall!!

I have a mostly stock ‘99 Miata and have been driving it for 6 years, I’m also a professional truck driver who’s had a CDL and been driving big trucks for almost 25 years, while I usually do well in the Miata, I still mess things up and suddenly go full nubee!

I got my first wrx, and first manual, and man the clutch is heavy in these cars, but im definitely getting the hang of it, and I know that once I do its gonna be super fun.
