Pillars and World are both so good. I haven't read anyone as good as Follett (at least in these two books -the only ones I've read by him) at making you hate the antagonists. I actually get worked up and admittedly sometimes fantasize about brutal deaths for his antagonists 😂

Interesting. I really need to get to this series and find out for myself why people love it so much. Congrats on 6K!

3 days! How many hours was that? As a fellow Christian, I really appreciate your insights into these

The fulfillment of the law is based on love. So if you love your neighbor or other human beings then the law works in your favor but forgiveness can't be given if you dont fulfil the law. For example, chrsit gave one last commandment that fulfills all other laws but you dont know how long you have to love thy neighbor and once you slip you are again back under the law of the old testament. The laws of the universe are also at play when accessing the forgiveness of the son of Man

I like this one even better than Pillars of the Earth. I was thinking of rereading it.

If you ever feel the need to read a spy thriller. Eye of the Needle, by Follett is really good.

I was curious to what your approach is when it comes to books that have graphic content?
I personally avoid books that do have graphic sexual content. Which can be sad because it seems like a good number of popular series tend to cross that line for me.
    I Really enjoy you content!

@@OwenReads I don’t like reading books with graphic content, but I don’t want to avoid all books like that, so I have to determine if I can handle it or not.

    Thank you for your honesty!
    The book sounds degenerate tbh.
With that said, I’m reading, “The Stand”. And at almost 1400 pages, it’s pretty good so far. King lays off some of his usual Antichrist stuff. And it’s a battle of good and evil in the 1990s over a plague:
I’d like to finish “IT” at some point.

I have to disagree with you. The sex is not gratuitous. It enhances the character development and description so you see what the individual is truly like. The Christian angle does not bother me too much since Christianity has been perverted and selectively interpreted for centuries to excuse all manner of evils. That's just reality.
