I hope 🇵🇭artisans thrive still, seems like (this is gonna make me sound super old, hopefully more an old soul lol!) , but I remember when the woven rattan of basket weave handbags & purses was so beautiful (& functional!), the wooden crafts & carvings were heavy & detailed ie bowls, each unique even in a set tho they matched could see the hand craftsmanship, & the capiz shell work was...I don’t know, seemed more intricate in past. Plz forgive me sounding critical, I don’t really know cuz I’m a Westerner & infrequent visitor. Hopefully someday cud b a frequent visitor! I hope I’m misinformed. But I know decline in arts & local crafts is an issue worldwide. Younger gen not interested in long apprenticeships required 2 learn.
