    It is not about the brightest light, it is about a white light that is aimed properly, To many people put in super bright lights and fail to properly aim the head lights and they end up blinding everyone else. If you are lighting up the road 300 feet or more beyond your vehicle your head lights are not aimed properly. Nothing worse than some yahoo with lights so bright you can't see the road on your side anymore because their lights are blinding you.

      Get Osram Cool Blue Intense Next Gen. I have them on my QX60 and they are brighter than any OEM LED setup on the road, except maybe the Tesla cars. After 10-15hrs of run time they settle in at about 5350K

    Not an easy install at all. the driver and cord barely fit into the headlight so putting the dust cover back on is extremely difficult with hardly any room for your hand. Took me a couple hours. Hands are chewed up and I'm crossing my fingers that the dust covers stay.

      2018 Durango GT. My hands got tore up and I don’t even know how I fit that big box and wires into the headlight. The manual for the bulbs says to have them at the 3 and 9 o’clock position, but another guy on here says 12 and 6. So now I’m confused lol

    When upgrading from a 2020 Durango GT with halogens, do you also need to upgrade the actual glass projector bulb? I put in the GTR HID kit but I don’t have anything close to that clean cut off line like in the video. I assume my projectors are diffusing the light rather than letting it shoot straight out onto the road.

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution 10 месяцев назад

      It also depends on your headlight lens condition, hazy lenses can cause blurry beam patterns.

    • @chuckmere5671
      @chuckmere5671 10 месяцев назад

      @@HeadlightRevolution yeah the car is garage kept so the lens is perfectly clear. Only difference is the bulb inside. Would you have any projector replacement recommendations? The lights are brighter, sure. But my beam pattern is nothing like in the video.

    • @scottcpan68
      @scottcpan68 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@chuckmere5671 Are you sure that you have the bulbs seated correctly? I have a 2014 Durango that takes 9012 bulbs but basically the same headlights that you have in your 2020. I have the GTR 6000K bulbs with Hylux ballast, they are super bright with a great beam pattern. If you wanted a replacement projector I would look at the Morimoto Mini D2S 5.0 or the NHK G5 HID projectors. Either one will fit you headlights with the correct mounting bracket.

    Even after installing H4 200w LED inside my projector headlight the brightness is not as expected. It’s dim. Only the fog light is helping me drive at night which has a H27 LED in it. How to increase the brightness in the projector headlight?

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution Год назад

      This can also depend on the condition of the headlights and the brand of LEDs you're using. The LED might be 200W, but it won't be any brighter if it doesn't replicate the correct optics. Additionally, if the projector bowl is burnt out you'll suffer with less light as well.

    • @1987Miketyson

      HID bulbs fit better with Projectors. LEDs suck when it comes to projectors, tried it. Switched to HID and never went back.

    • @RamMan2016
      @RamMan2016 Год назад

      Do you have the LEDs oriented correctly? Inside a projector, the LEDs need to point straight up and down at the 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock positions, or else the light will not get to the projector correctly and then cannot be projected forward out of the headlight.

      Generally no, the ballast will usually work or not. However, HID bulb performance will degrade over time. So new bulbs will perform better than old ones.
