@@happyvictory6205 It's quite obvious that you don't know much about the Bible, If you did, you would know that the Bible tells us that salvation wasn't finished on the cross.
What was finished in Jn 19: 30, was the Old Testament, The sacrifices and the prophecies about Jesus up to that point.
In relation to the coming sacrifice of Jesus, He said how distressed He was until it's accomplished, [Finishes]. So when Jesus said it is finished, He had just died Spiritually. Ps 22: 1. Matt 27: 46. Mk 15: 34.
and he was about to go to Hell.
Acts 2: 27--31.
Plus, Rom 4: 25 says Jesus had to be raised from the dead so we could be justified. and
1 Cor 15: 17 says if Jesus hadn't been raised from the dead, we would still be in our sins.
What? Do you vainly thinks He needs your help? J/W? Papist?
Perhaps what was finished was the Legal indebtedness, the laws of sin and death. All the laws that the Pharisees leaven instituted, or the 613+ laws. God's laws still remain and very much in affect. Legal is according to the law of the old dispensation thus being in the legal construct means we are living in the old dispensation and have not accepted free grace. Job 32:21-22 basically says that persons or one with a title will be lead away which means executed and the word person comes from the Greek word kanah which is one with a title especially a surname. Surnames were added for purposes of the draft, taxation and the census. It is a name placed over and above our God given christian name which our Messiah paid the ultimate blood sacrifice for. We do not own legal title on a legal name you stand assurity for another is this not what Pro Verbs 11:15 is telling us ? Perhaps we were warned in 2 Peter 2:3. ?
