- Welcome to our 2nd day in TUNIS! Today we are heading outside of the city to visit Sidi Bou Said, one of the prettiest towns we have visited! Painted blue and white similar to Santorini, this looks and feels completely different to the city centre of Tunis!

As a Tunisian/German who's also been to Greece, I always come back to enjoy the sense of exclusivity and privacy I get in Tunisia which is usually not the case in other Med destinations. Looking forward to your next video:) Fun fact: the Andalusians who fled Spain/Portugal were the ones that introduced that "mini dount" or Kaak warka, you ate, and planted the nesri flower which they also brought with them. It's a precious specialty of a Tunisian city called Zaghouan, where many Andalusians settled in. :D
Wow! Thanks for the info!

Wow... the food looks really good. 😃 Great video. 👍 Cheers and stay safe. ❤️
Thank you 😋
Lovely to see Sidi Bou Said once again. I actually went there twice during my week in Tunisia, so enjoyable wandering around with the camera, and the 30-minute train journey from Tunis was pleasant too. I'm guessing you went to Hammamet after Tunis, another pretty, photogenic place.
We sure did! But we have a street food video first! Thanks for always watching!

3:14 The flavor of the "mini donut" you were eating is actually dog-rose (Nesri, in local dialect). It is a wild flower that grows in the north region of Tunisia. I hope you liked it.
Oh wow thanks so much for letting us know 🥰🥰
@@Spartinus A fancy patisserie in Sidi Bou can charge whatever they want..
@@Spartinus They were actually nice. Those are sold by the kilo not by the piece, the lady was just nice to some tourist. I think its reasonable.
@@Spartinus the kilo of those is super duper expensive especially in saidi bou said
Imagine a cuppa coffee in downtown doesn't exceed 2.5dt but in sidi bousaid is for 7dt 🤣🤣 so they get a really good deal there 🤣🤣

the view and the food really mixed well.the crunching sound when molly took a bite on that donut is very enticing.the food preparation and the food itself on that chef's table is first class.it's 4am here in PH,and now I'm hungry after watching you vlog.
If you don't visit the city, you should.
Wealthy Americans go to Italy, but tend to miss out on Tunisia which is quite sad. Given that it's close, super cheap and rich in food/history, i'd argue at par with Italy. Carthage was a glorious empire when Rome was a peasants village.
Welcome to Tunisia ❤ 🇹🇳
No entiendo el idioma pero me gusta ver sus videos un saludo desde el salvador Central América 🇸🇻
Thank you Jose!
Hello Yes, Sidi Bou said it is similar to the one in Greece but the Tunisian established a long time ago the one in Greece.
Exactly, so Santorini is actually the Mini Sidi Bou Said
There is a plenty place to visit in Tunisia like Bizerte, Carthage the historical city in Tunisia , Kairawen the holy city in Tunisia where you can find the first mosque in Africa "okba Ibn nafaa" , also you have to visit the south of Tunisia Tozeur, tatouine , and the costal cities Sfax , Sousse and "El djam" where you can find the biggest amphitheater in Africa and it gives you the vibes of roman empire .
Tunisia is a variety of desert, lakes , beaches , mountains also culture and traditions and history.
Thank you!

Have soooo many memories of this place in specefic!
Very nice vidéo 🇹🇳🇹🇳
Fantastic and so beautiful, again Tunisia seems beautiful. I guess the only thing that left a little sour taste was not giving you a menu when they had one and that does annoy me . But hey That’s one person not Tunisians . I will visit as so so impressed
You should! You’d enjoy it especially at the beaches!
as tuisian too its bothered me even we here sometimes they act like that and they dont give menu ..happend to me in restaurants..anyways not all ppl like that u know some good some bad and we are very sorry about that :)
I don't remember they have a menu but rather a board at entrance w their exorbitant prices. The justification is the exclusive view to the sea

@@dabbleandtravel thanks pal. Just I would like to ask you . Have you used bolt taxi 🚕 on traveling between these places? But I don't see an option for paying by card ! Does that mean they accept only cash ? Thanks .

Welcome to Tunisia 🇹🇳
Welcom habibti❤️
Such a well made vlog! As a Tunisian, I always am nervous when watching vlogs from tourists especially English speakers, mostly because they're used to other destinations, locals speak mostly French ( which is changing at a fast pace, youth's converging towards English ) and tend to be a few to have it on their Radar. Also because Tunisia is undiscovered for some parts of the world, tourists tend to miss great spots and destinations aside from those used to visiting like the French and Italians. Happy to see more people visiting and making videos about Tunisia! One tip is to always ask locals about the prices before heading to a shop or a food spot, but usually there isn't much to worry about!
Enjoy your stay and happy vlogging.
Thank you!
Tnx 👏👏👏🍻🍻
its really cool to see you your city through the eyes of a foreigner, hope both of enjoyed your stay
We loved it! Thanks for watching!
Woooow ❤️❤️❤️
♥️
I know Sidi Bou Saïd really well because I studied there for 6 years and I know every place there. If I know I will come do the best touristic guide lol.
Great!
you are welcome just enjoy
Thanks Asma
Visit kantaoui ❤❤❤
Glad you liked Sidi Bousaid, actually for the Café des délices is known to be quiet expensive because it's kind of a luxury place (you can check the song by Patrick Bruel (french artist) about it). But at Sidi Bousaid you can also find other Cafés with stunning views and regular/cheap price (2 dinars a coffee)
Yes definitely! Thanks for watching!

welcome to my country
Thank you!
just a reminder sidi bousaid was built before santorini ...
🥰🥰
hey I am tunisian and I'm following your trip in our country and enjoying it. I am glad you managed to visit sidi bou. It's the best place to go in Tunis. That café des delices is famous for the most expensive prices. That's why you won't find any tunisians there we all hate it haha
if you have some time you should visit hamamet or Sousse
Enjoy your trip and welcome in Tunisia
Thank you!
You guys need to go to dahdah in the lac and thank me later 😊
Welcome Tunisia 🇹🇳✨
Thank you!
for the prices in Sidi Bou Said, that coffe shop you went in Cafe des Délices you got 2 lemonade drinks and some sweets for 30 dinars, it's a fair price considering it's a very know place in Sidi Bou Said and it's quiet expensive compared to other places there.
Nice video, glad that you enjoyed the visit, just out of curiosity, that fancy dinner with the steak and "the food cinema" was that in the hotel where you're staying? If so I'd like to know the name please, really tasty food hh
Beautiful
Pretty Tunisia 😍🔥❤❤
