- I fly to Northern California to my friend Sutton Morris' shop to start building a car that I've kept under wraps for a few years now, in just one week, in time for the Overcrest Rally... which is in southern Utah... which I'll then drive cross country home to Tennessee directly afterwards. Follow along as this trip gets crazy!

Gonna be a sweet series, cant wait!
Wanted to say nice to have met you and your wife at car show last Saturday. Now I see video is available for me to see
This build is going to be worth the wait... Vintage BM's just hit different 🫶🏻
They really do!
looking forward to seeing this one unfold further 🏆👏🏼
Thanks Manny!!
I had an E23 a couple of years and must say that the US spec front bumper is atrocious
A friend of mine, Steve, had a rotor self-destruct on his way back from Edition 38 in his Mk1 Derby
So crazy!!
When are we going to see a Rabbit in Ludwicks Garage again? I know you've had a few.
I’ve had a bunch of them over the years, perhaps we’ll do something with one soon 👀
NICE!! Can’t wait to see this on the rally!
I’ll be the guy in the bug 🤘🏽
Oh that’s awesome man!! Can’t wait!
Dude, love that BMW! I haven’t seen one like it before. Like another comment said, the rear deck lid looks like a Corvair. Do you know what color it is? It looks like white with grey in it, very cool color, and the interior is amazing! Bitchen twin turbos also.
I owned a '79 7 series 6cyl 4 door. Love all the older models you looked at, looking forward to seeing what you build using the dogleg transmission
Knew you had something up your sleeve with the csi no idea it would be this. I’m also imagining walking into their shop and it smelling like old euro cars oil and leather the perfect combo. Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with on this build for the rally but even more so once you get it back to Chattanooga we all know you can’t leave well enough alone. Happy building
Why do you keep building things I want to build? 😂
John, Excellent episode! Can't wait!
I had a rotor on a 85 GMC with a 305 grenade like that. Got super hot and came apart. Melted the cap too.
Washington car!
I think so! I can’t remember if someone just put that plate on it or not 😂
This is going to be so GOOD! A wild journey for an amazing story and lifetime of memories!!
Thanks Chris! I am tired 😂
The body shape looks like an early corvair
3.0 cs is one of my dream car’s for sure.
Damn, can't wait to see what you do with that thing
Thanks Max!
How about the beetle giveaway?
this sounds fun!
STOKED for this.
That ROTOR - yikes!
Gonna be good bud 🤙🏼😜
This is going to be exciting!
Thanks Alex!
Nice! always loved the 6 series.
Here in South Africa BMW made a 333i also a very rare item!
My favorite South African BMW of all time are the 209 745s they build with M88 motors in them!!
Brian Scotto posted some rabbits for sale, on ef them had awesome patina. That's you all day ahhahahaha
It totally is 😂
I’m glad eurospec will be able to live on through another car, this is going to be sick!
Thanks man!
cant wait. new sub.
Thank you!
You did it to me again John.
I didn't ever think I would see another boat like the one you showed in the background while showing the parts car. My dad had an Evenrude tri hull inboard outboard with the front glass and pass through back in the seventies. There were only two mfgs that made these and they were sister companies. Johnson and Evenrude. His had the Buick 231ci. V6 and OMC stearn drive, white with a blue stripe on the side. Sorry for rattling on but when you have such a vivid flashback, we'll you know how it goes.
Can't wait to see this series of videos all the way back the the Nooga.
PS: The boat in the background looked to be the Johnson version with an outboard.
That’s amazing!!
@@JohnLudwick So are your videos. 😁
Sweet!
Yo! I knew where you were as soon as I saw the airport. I’m also in Sacramento so it was cool to see. Then I saw the shop and man I’ve stopped in-front of it so many times to see their cars through the windows with my kids on our way to the East Bay.
That’s so cool, man! Yea I’ve been coming out here and visiting him for years now!
@@JohnLudwickthere's a family that sets up a taco stand in front of the shop on the weekends. Highly recommend trying it if you're still around.
Why not put the m90 in the e23 as well?
We’re almost sure it’s not the original M90. And also, it hasn’t run since 1997, we only have a couple weeks to get it ready for a cross country drive, and the M30 in it runs well!
@@JohnLudwick Ahh makes sense!
This is so rad
Thanks man!
Man. The love you guys have to suffer for the Euro love is honorable but not enviable by me but you got this!🥸
It’s so tiring 😂
