I denied all their allegations. They checked my phone and did not find anything but still they misinformed all the people gathered at the location. They then started assaulting me and damaging my car. These people also stole 14000 rupees in cash and other valuable items from inside my vehicle. I am ashamed that the people of Navelim support such people and participated in the mob that attacked me. I am a software engineer by profession. I have a life, I have a well paying job. I do not have the time to take pictures of people and report them to the police, all this for a few hundred rupees. But I do believe that people should follow all the traffic rules and wear a helmet and do whatever else is necessary to make our roads safer. The reporter was at the scene before I reached there. He is well aware that I was not in the car taking pictures. Yet he reported in the media that I was caught red handed taking pictures of traffic violations. He has intentionally defamed me because all he wanted was masala to further his own interests. It's shameful that journalism is fallen at such low standards. I have identified the main accused who gathered the mob and assaulted me. This group includes a local leader who was instrumental in inciting violence against me. These miscreants have been named in the FIR. I hope to get justice and these miscreants get the punishment they deserve.
All the idiots who ganged up on Sameer should know that violations can be reported only via the app not the dashcam. I have a dashcam too. I dare anyone touch me for that. I will teach them the damn law.

Traffic sentinel should be stopped and scrapped. RTO should do their own duty. Anyone can be traffic sentinel without proper knowledge training and certification this is really madness to promote should app. In short anyone wouldn't want to be fined and go through shit to pay the fine. I agree u should follow traffic rules but at same time don't many any donkey a traffic police by sentinel app. also tell me why this app is only there in goa not all over india. Is goa a separate country? who made this stupid rules? and who is benefitting by this app?
Goa RTO are lazy, if you question them they will simply add any cases on you, and their senior officers are more worse then them. This is my experience with Goa RTO.

It is our duty to follow traffic rules, Goa police should enforce these laws for safety. This sentinel scheme is not the solution. We need better road systems also, we are paying road tax.

1st of all india anybody can get licence through money or power. 2ndly for my safety i will always wear hemlet or seat belt. Government shud not interfere in this for all citizens of india.. In fact traffic police shud be kept ready to catch those drivers who drive fast or enters in no entry roads.. currently they are busy looking at drivers without helmets or seat belt but this will never create problem to others but fast driving or driving in no entry area can create accidents surely..
