Im new to leather working still, did you cut through your stitching when cutting the too and bottom into separate pieces? Does the saddle stitch self lock well enough thats ok or am i just seeing it incorrectly?

You can turn on subtitles, there are explanations of some actions. First, I punch holes for the seam on one of the halves of the cover. Next, I glue both halves and with an awl I pierce the through holes along the pre-punched ones. Next, I sew and cut the cover along the marking line.
