I am sure the lord doesn't care about the color of our skin, our race, or our culture. We humans have a lot of segregation and that is the enemies' way. To divide and conquer. I am an Australian, Aboriginal Solomon Islander, English, Arabic, Jew. Race just is showing the Lord separated us in the days of Babylon and looks like we are all coming back together again. Praise the Lord for getting these two together. The Lord doesn't get anything wrong. God bless

This love story illustrates the power of God's love. You both saw each other through the eyes of God, breaking barriers set by religion and race. This is the way the world should be and is a perfect demonstration of how we should love and treat one another. What I love about your story is that it clearly shows how religion or good deeds we do that are not motivated by God's love for us doesn't give you the true freedom we all so desperately need and search for. And mostly, I love and respect how you did not compromise your Christian values to please each other. A lot of young people and adults could definitely learn from your story!!
One thing I know for sure is that you can miss out on the best thing God has for you when you compromise (sin). I don't think you would be together today had you not stood firmly on your values and beliefs. It could have affected your witness to your husband, and perhaps he wouldn't have taken the necessary steps to establish a relationship with God. There is so much we can take away from your story!!! Can I ask you a question? Why do every white woman feel she have the need to relate to a black WOMAN as "girl" to feel maybe you have to relate to us!? It's a negative stereotype, and it's very offensive, by listening to her vernacular, you can clearly hear that she don't use that kind of vocabulary. She is a black, beautiful, educated, WOMAN! Please STOP using this negative vocabulary, equated to "ghetto, black girls"

To the breaks, disobedience, etc. I understand I’m not one to force my relationship with Jesus on to them. I don't really understand what you mean when you say "sin"? I was taught that "sin" is disobedience to God. Example: To drink a glass of wine is not a sin. To drink to excess where you lose your mind-like Christ thinking and become verbally, physically, mentally (not making appropriate decisions) sexually abusive; is a sin/sinful behavior. It is important to be clear (spiritually) not religiously especially for those who are seeking, who are new and not receiving proper teaching or any at all. It gives a false impression that being a Christian requires perfection, no wrong doing, no misteps. The greatest lie ever thought! Being a Christian/ Christ-like is a way of life/lifestyle and the Word of God through the Holy Spirit tells us what that entails. Who Christ is and only through Him are we able to walk the path He has made for us.

I completely agree with everything you said and I don’t think Christianity is demanding perfection at all, it’s actually admitting that we aren’t perfect and we need a savior. Everyday, all we can do is try to be more like Jesus, fleeing from temptation and relying on The Holy Spirit. And when we do fall short, which we all will, we should repent and try our hardest not to do it again. Hopefully that made more sense and thank you so much again for your comment! 🫶🏽
