To Katie: you warm the bottle of breast milk if you put it in the fridge. And the frida brush kit is used in the bath tub it’s a 3 step brush set. And for breast pump recommendations the spectra s1 is really good! It’s a hospital grade pump and is battery operated!
To Katie I noticed that you didn't have a nursing bra those come in handy I would also recommend some baby wash cloths because if you use normal wash cloths it can hurt their tender skin and also the baby shampoo you got is the best I used aveno shampoo and not the Johnsons shampoo and don't use baby efor very long I used really good shampoo and it made my kids hair very thick so if you want her hair very think that's what I would recommend. I also love how josh is so interested in everything when she explained it to him you guys will be the best parents
@@delaniealyse3662some babies can tolerate it but most can’t. That’s way too cold for their stomach and causes painful belly aches. You should definitely try warming breast milk.
@@blairk5847 there is no evidence that shows cold milk will upset a babies stomach. This coming from lactation consultants and pediatricians. Some babies just prefer warm milk. It is completely okay to give a baby cold breast milk and will not harm them whatsoever.
@@maclay3074yes nursing bras are amazing!!! My daughter is 1 now and she stopped breastfeeding at 9m and I still wear the nursing bras! So comfortable!
As a mom of 4 I would say you need around 5 swaddles it’s the perfect amount because of accidents so excited for you to have your baby and I think you guys are gonna be amazing parents from a parent to another parent❤
Currently breastfeeding my second baby. The breastmilk comes out of you warm. The bottle warmer is helpful for heating up milk that has been in the fridge or frozen milk that has been thawed. Also I would recommend 3-4 swaddles. Also put the gel pads in the freezer! Those were a lifesaver when I was really sore in the beginning!
“Does it come out of you warm?” Haha yes Josh it comes out warm. It’s used for refrigerated stored bottles of breast milk that need to be reheated. That part made my day, I love yal😂💕
Love that both of you are admitting to not knowing everything that is to come with baby girl! A year ago, I was literally in the same boat! Girly is almost 8 months now 🫨 I've heard really good things about the SNOO and the HALO bassinets. I know you can rent the SNOO, and there's specific swaddles to use with it. And the HALO I may attempt to talk my husband into with our next! We have a camera set up in the car to see her. I have had to take multiple 1 1/2 trips to Tucson alone with her for appointments and it gave me a huge piece of mind being able to see her! And it has night vision!
Can't believe you guys' 5th year is literally in 2 days..From handcuffed to my crush to now having a baby girl🥺💞 and the milk comes out of you kinda warm😂
The best bassinet that we used for our three kiddos was the halo! And the best travel crib bassinet was the 4moms as well I would highly recommend the 4moms “swing” it was a life SAVER! so excited for baby girl to come!
@@sarahloyd7276 ..I know I watch their videos but I was just making a recommendation from one mom to a new mom that doesn’t know about some amazing products.
Sweet vlog and such thoughtful & useful gifts! Good job Katie on researching! Breast milk comes out warm, that’s the beauty of breastfeeding during nighttime feedings. It’s also nice if possible to freeze milk and feed by bottle too. Especially nice for the daddy to be able to feed baby. I hope breastfeeding works for you, but I know either way you will be okay with whatever works for you and baby girl. So excited to see her in your arms! It’s just the most amazing feeling! Much love to the Brueckner’s 🤍🤍💕🐶
Mama of 4 (almost 5) here, We got a halo swivel bassinet for our fourth and loved it! I wished I also had it for my other kiddos. One thing I’d highly suggest swapping out would be the thermometer. I know it sounds super easy and convenient to have a contactless forehead thermometer, but they are notoriously inaccurate and you definitely wouldn’t want to be potentially misinformed if your baby actually does have a fever (and the thermometer says otherwise). I’d recommend a ‘normal’ digital thermometer as they are so much more accurate. (With rectal temps being the most accurate for newborns). As for pumps, I wish I had advice but I sadly don’t because I hated pumping haha. All the best guys! Your baby is going to be so well loved and taken care of!
HIGHLY recommend putting a gate around your pool! Before she starts crawling. I also recommend a bedside bassinet. We had the Dream On Me bedside bassinet and it was so nice and convenient!
I definitely recommend quite a few swaddles. The first little while baby will be swaddled most of the day and night since baby will be sleeping a lot. As she gets older and is up more throughout the day then you will most likely only use at nap time or bed time. Also recommend the swaddles that actual Velcro, I have 4 kids and only had this with my last and OMG it was a game changer. Baby sleeps so much better when swaddled as they don’t move and startled themselves and I could never get the swaddles to hold so the Velcro one that you just place the bottom half of the baby in the pocket and then the top crosses over and velcros. So so good once they get a little bigger and swaddles are holding.
You already seem prepared. Thing's have changed alot since I was younger. But, I have seen alot of different one's either looking at the Halo, Snoo and Newton Bassinets. The only difference I think is that with Newton mattresses you can unzip the cover, pad and wash them. You can then put mattress either in the shower or go outside and hose it down and then let it dry. It is also breathable. You can do your research and see what you like best. Looking forward to seeing the nursery reveal. 💗🎀💗
Halo bassinet hands down worked for us! You have have the baby right next to your bed, see right through it. And I decided to try the Motif Luna pump 2nd time around, and I love it. Minimal parts to wash, has a timer/light for night time. Loved it!
One of my favourite memories were the baby showers for my first baby. I’ve always been excited when other people open gifts and realized this is probably why I loved my baby showers as the items were for baby or me because of baby.
If money isn't an option, Medela symphony breast pump is a hospital grade pump & can be used by more than one person. It is a closed system My mom works in lactation , if you have any questions or concerns regarding breastfeeding. Ps. Human milk comes out body temperature, & is ready for baby , no heating required.
Car camera is gold! The spectra is a great pump. I struggled with supply in the beginning and was using the medela pump in style which made my supply drop. As soon as I switched to the spectra my supply increased and it was more comfortable/ easier to clean than the medela. My son liked the dr browns bottles in the beginning , but he’s a breastfeed baby and refused it after a while because of the nipple shape. We wound up using tommee tippee and avent natural response bottles which are compatibility with the spectra pump. I would suggest trying out a couple different bottle types and pacifier brands because babies are picky!
As a mom of 2, I personally hated the Dr Brown bottles, I used the wide neck ones with my oldest. There's just too many parts to wash. This time around our pediatrician recommended that we use comotomo bottles. It has made transitioning from bottle to breast so much easier. My youngest son is 4 months old now. Also careful with the Lansinoh milk storage bags because they often leak! I use the medela bags. As for the most recommended pump - for on the go I love the willow go (I had the elvies for my first and they were also great) and for at home use I prefer the spectra! You two will be great parents! :)
The hatch sound machine is a complete life saver that’s the one thing I recommend to anyone having a baby helped with my sons sleep so much he is now 18 months and still uses it
Hey katie as an AZ mama i wanted to let you know the baby mirrors work fine in the AZ heat just make sure to keep the visor/shade up in the windshield. I never thought the carseat camera was neccesary
GET THE CAMERA! You won’t regret it. My daughter is 19 months old and it’s by far my most favorite thing. The windi things work wonders as well. Your breast milk will come out warm. We loved the halo swivel bassinet for bedside in the newborn stage! I used to pink spectra pump and really liked the suction of it compared to a couple others I tried. The kiinde twist pouches are my favorite breast milk storage bags and it can pop right into the holder and you don’t have to also dirty a bottle. Congratulations again! 😊
If you pump breast milk and store it in the fridge, u can use the bottle warmer to warm the milk up, just like pre-made formula in a bottle in the fridge. Breast milk can sit in the fridge for a few days before freezing. Freezer is a few months depends on if it’s a fridge freezer or deep freezer. Nipple cream is a must I used it lots or I cracked. Also lots of baby face cloths are nice, after every breastfeeding wipe ur nipples and babies mouth out with a cloth so u don’t get thresh it’s painful. A good pump is a avent Phillips. Also a breastfeeding cover is nice for public unless u have time to pump before going out. Nursing bras are also nice. U can get nursing take tops and night gowns if u wanna go without a bra. Compression socks with grips in the hospital for cold feet are nice to have on hand. Also diapers always discreet are nice there like underwear but a diaper I put a pad over for extra coverage with heavy flow after labor. Also different brands of bottles or paci breastfeeding can be tricky cause baby may dislike the nipple. Lastly a big life saver for me was good hair soap for thicker hair growth incase of postpartum hair loss. ❤
I remember before having my daughter I had all the same questions! And watching my man be just as confused and intrigued in baby and mummy stuff because they haven’t a clue lol it’s a adorable! You guys will figure it out all so fast and learn so fast it comes so naturally 🩷
Katie , Just get a infant inserted pack n play and you can remove the infant part when shes old enough for a crib so once she outgrows the infant which won’t take super long just switch to the crib Medela double pump Btw the Haakaa is a breast pump
Hey guys so excited to see you become parents I know loads of people have probably told you but as a mum myself I didn’t know that with a fan dont point it directly at baby girl in the heat because they can’t generate their own body heat so it will make her to cold x
I've heard good things about the dude dad diaper bag. It's more like a backpack. It's for men so that they're not carrying around a girly bag. And it's super functional too
The medela free style flex is amazing! It's portable and so easy to take along with you! Also sunflower lecithin is a life saver to keep mastitis away!!
The breastmilk does come out warm haha but if you store any in the fridge/freezer the bottle warmer will come in clutch!! And I tried multiple breast pumps, but the Spectra S1 was by far the best, now when I wanted to pump and still be able to clean the house, run errands etc. and not be hooked to a wall the Elvie wearable breast pump was also great just for when I needed to get stuff done while pumping☺️
A lot of people will rave about the snoo bassinet. I nannied a little baby who had the hardest time transitioning from the snoo to a crib because she did not have the constant soothing/rocking from her bed when ever she cried. I’m 39 weeks and the one I got was a basic bed side bassinet. I think I have one from delta. As far as a breast pump. I’ve heard awesome things about the momcozy s12 pro. I just ordered one. I also have the Spectra s2 and have been using it to collect colostrum and love it so far.
hi josh and katie i am a huge fan!!! when ever i need cheering up i always watch you guys! your love for each other makes me feel good inside and i feel loved and capable of everything that i put my mind to (i know this is really cringy) and i cant wait for little katie to arrive i hope she is happy and healthy because i know that with her parents she will feel inspired like i do when i watch you!!
Personally I had a bassinet that rolled around the house, however I had a C-section so carrying my baby was really difficult for the first couple days. You guys will be great parents ❤️
Honestly the Jersey swaddles from target are AMAZING so large so they grow with baby and so so stretchy and soft. Also you should definitely get a pump that is tube free. I’m an exclusive pumper and it’s been a game changer
I absolutely LOVE my 4moms mamaroo bassinet it truly is a game changer! My breast pump of choice would be the momcozy breast pump, it is rechargeable so it’s PERFECT for on the go. Place it in your bra, turn it on & select the mode that works best for you! You’re gonna be a great momma Katie!🩵
I love your guises videos, and I could literally watch them all day when I watch your videos I just get a huge smile on my face even if I’m sad, mad angry anything that day
The bottle warmer is for both formula and breast milk if it’s frozen or pre pumped…….. Head and shoulders works on cradle cap cradle cap is very normal
For breast pumps the Spectra brand is the best! I think the Spectra Gold is the most high-end version - it lets you change the suction on each side separately. I used the pink spectra which is only able to be used plugged into the wall, then the blue version has a battery as well as a wall plug so you can move it around easier. Once I got the hang of feeding, I used the haakaa to manually pump the side baby wasn't feeding on so I would have a slight oversupply to freeze and I'm so glad I did. We ended up stopping breastfeeding at 5 months due to tongue and lip ties that were caught super late but I was able to continue giving breastmilk until 6.5 months because I had my freezer stash built up.
If you can somehow find an old style medela pump, snatch that up IMMEDIATELY. I had my last baby last year, I got 2 new pumps. (New style of medela and a different brand I can’t remember) And I had an old style medela pump that’s been used for literally years and the elvie for backup, my brand new ones broke. Within the first month of me using them. I also had the spectra (mint green one), that was a strong suction as well. But I highly recommend old medela pump and the elvie for easy access
Baby is the best way to move milk! Babies move more milk than any pump will! But if you are separated from baby a hospital grade pump like Medela symphony is really a great pump!
as far as swaddles go, I would say you will probably need about 5 because trust me they get dirty fast. I have a 4 month old and he’s growing so fast and I feed him a bottle while he is swaddled, it helps him fall asleep !
Cant believe it. I havent watched in a while. I did see your pregnancy reveal video though. Crazy how I remember when Josh proposed. How things have change and will change. Congrats. I will probably never see another video of yours but goodluck
I really love the products you've bought! I love watching Nursey videos & "Packing/what's in my diaper bag" videos. Please do those! :) Love ya'll and healthy & happy delivery!!! Also.... please do an end of pregnancy Q&A... such as hospital birth/home birth, meds, etc. :)
I suggest the Spectra Breast pump! I used it for both of my pregnancies and it did not disappoint. It is hospital grade and I always had extra supply in the freezer.
I just had my first baby in December and wanted to leave a few things I figured out!! 1. I knew NOTHING about being a mom. I read blogs, watched videos, listened to advice and still felt like I knew nothing. Once she was born I just took it day by day and everything came naturally or I could look it up in the moment!! Don’t stress over all the things! 2- we had 5 swaddles and baby girl HATED them so we didn’t push it and she sleeps through the night without it! Every baby will be different!! 3- personally breast feeding wasn’t for me. I didn’t produce and my mental health declined! Don’t stress over it, as long as baby eats and mom is happy!!
Put the cooling gel pads in the freezer. If they are sore or if you have blood blisters on your nips, rub some milk on your nips and then out those gel pads on. Really helped me survive those first few weeks
i’m not a mum but i’m the second oldest of 7 and have over 20 cousins who are under the age of 15 so i’ve seen a lot of kids grow up and helped, at least 10-12 swaddles, babies puke a lot so 6 will be in the wash at a time trust me 😂 u can never have too many depending if your swaddling until she is 3 + months old ❤
and people say don’t hear bottles in the microwave and to read up on why so how i heat up my brothers bottles was just boiling kettle water in a oven proof bowl and stand the sealed bottle with the milk in there and my mum says u can’t reheat formula or breast milk aswell so there’s a lil fact from her haha, congratulations guys and good luck ❤❤
I hated the Doctor Brown bottles for my second baby. The milk would Leak out of it while feeding him. The playtex are a go to for me. Breast milk comes out warm Josh but if Katie pumps she’ll have to freeze it or keep it cold if She is not going to give it to the baby right away and that’s when you use the bottle warmer a microwave is not safe to use to heat up the babies milk.
About the swaddles: I would get different kinds. My baby didn’t like his hands to be against his body and held down. I had to have one that I allowed his hands to be by his face. The swaddleme brand which zips up is so easy and convenient.
I’m going to North Carolina at the end of July!!! Maybe I’ll see you, but my parents don’t know that I watch you guys. So excited to see the baby girl love you guys!!!🥳🥳💕💕💕💕🥳👧🏼
Katie have you started going through the period where you start cleaning everything because you’re nesting? Yes, it’s true! I know I did! I was scrubbing baseboards and walls!
She’s 30 weeks now they aren’t even home from Michigan yet this video was filmed before they went to Michigan for the actual baby shower they had people ship them stuff from their registry because if they didn’t do that they would have no way of getting it home to Arizona
The spectra s1 and s2 and very good. The Luna is also great. I exclusively pumped so I had lots of experience with pumps😂 If you decide to get a portable pump (the ones you put in your bra) do NOT use them all the time. Only use them when you have to! They tank lots of peoples supplies because they do not empty you. I had to learn my lesson the hard way and had to work hard to get my supply back. I went from pumping 10+oz (I was an over supplier) to pumping 3-4oz at the most because my momcozy pump tanked my supply. 3-4oz is normal for some people, but for me it wasn’t and it was going down because of the pump I was using 🙃 after that I went back to using only my spectra and Luna and never touched my momcozy again
I love how Katie is so modest and saying that there is still lots she doesn’t know but also she is gonna be the best mum to baby girl

& get a 3 tier cart for your bedside and fill it with everything you need it’s such a lifesaver for night time

Hi Josh and Katie love your vids so much have been watching for years and can’t wait for the baby girl❤
Personally I had a bassinet that rolled around the house, however I had a C-section so carrying my baby was really difficult for the first couple days. You guys will be great parents ❤️
I loved this video! The gifts awesome and great.☺
i'm so excited for you both to become parents! you're going to be the best parents! 🤍
Honestly the Jersey swaddles from target are AMAZING so large so they grow with baby and so so stretchy and soft. Also you should definitely get a pump that is tube free. I’m an exclusive pumper and it’s been a game changer
I hope u have a safe delivery and a healthy baby ❤😊
I absolutely LOVE my 4moms mamaroo bassinet it truly is a game changer! My breast pump of choice would be the momcozy breast pump, it is rechargeable so it’s PERFECT for on the go. Place it in your bra, turn it on & select the mode that works best for you! You’re gonna be a great momma Katie!🩵
I love your guises videos, and I could literally watch them all day when I watch your videos I just get a huge smile on my face even if I’m sad, mad angry anything that day
She will be spoiledso much yall will be amazing parents also I have been watching u guys for 3 years almost 4 . ❤❤❤❤❤❤ love yall
The bottle warmer is for both formula and breast milk if it’s frozen or pre pumped……..
Head and shoulders works on cradle cap cradle cap is very normal
The bassinets from Design Dua are great! My baby girl is almost 2 months old, and has been sleeping in it since she was a week.
My dad built our cradle it was beautiful! I wish I had a pic! But it rocked back and forth! Just like the old ones way back when!
I'm so excited for the baby to be here I don't even know what to say I'm just so excited!!!!!!!!!!
Omg i love josh an katie an topper
Best couple on youtube with the best content
Cant wait to c an meet baby girl
Good afternoon jatiefam
Katie is glowing!
Also get the car camera!!!!
You guys are going to be such great parents love y’all ❤
so so excited for you guys!!!! 🙏🏻💗💗🫶🏻
Def get a few of the Muslin swaddles just because they work amazing for burp cloths too!
Congratulations, you guys will be the best mommy and daddy ever 🙌
Honestly only like 2-3. Halo swaddled are a good brand I love that are affordable!
After you are done with the breast pump, you can connect the nose frida to the breast pump to have a better suction when getting baby snot
The derma brush is for cradle cap to help scrape it off her head
The way joshes eyes lit up when he put on the little towel his inner child was coming out hard
Ive been excited for you guys for your next chapter ahhh,🥰
As a momma of 2 I would recommend the mom cozy breast pump! Also that frida baby brush and comb is wonderful for cradle cap!
I can't believe baby girl is coming soon I'm so excited to see the nursey and I loved the haul💞✨ love you jatie fam❤
Katie my mom is a daycare provider and she highly recommends a sleep sack!
Hi Jatievlogs good morning happy Monday morning and I loved your vlogs and you all amazing Supporter
I exclusively pumped so I had lots of experience with pumps😂
If you decide to get a portable pump (the ones you put in your bra) do NOT use them all the time.
Favourite type of hauls
Your baby is so lucky to have such great parents ❤
