Holy Spirit, Lord of Light, From the clear celestial height. Thy pure beaming radiance give. Come, thou Father of the poor, Come, with treasures which endure; Come, thou Light of all that live! Thou, of all consolers best, Thou, the soul's delightful guest, Dost refreshing peace bestow. Thou in toil art comfort sweet; Pleasant coolness in the heat; Solace in the midst of woe. Light immortal, Light divine, Visit thou these hearts of thine, And our inmost being fill. If thou take thy grace away, Nothing pure in man will stay; All his good is turned to ill. Heal our wounds, our strength renew; On our dryness pour thy dew, Wash the stains of guilt away. Bend the stubborn heart and will; Melt the frozen, warm the chill; Guide the steps that go astray. Thou, on us who evermore Thee confess and thee adore, With thy sevenfold gifts descend. Give us comfort when we die; Give us life with thee on high; Give us joys that never end. Amen. Alleluia.
Veni, Sancte Spiritus, Veni, nostri cordium, Et emitte caelitus Lucis tuae radium. Veni, pater pauperum, Veni, dator munerum, Veni, lumen cordium. Consolator optime, Dulcis hospes animae, Dulce refrigerium. In labore requies, In aestu temperies, In fletu solatium. O lux beatissima, Reple cordis intima Tuorum fidelium. Amen. Alleluia.
@AnherikPhantom Ah what a beautiful mind... If only it were open enough to recognize that human beings often act inconsistenly with regard to the principles of the religion they claim as their own. Perhaps reading a little Aristotle on the incontinent man would serve you well. But, at least I agree with you that the song is beautiful.
@ikseret Friend, in fact what they did and still make them, not an act of incontinence, impertinence, or something else ... knew what they were doing! and that is enough to understand that their damn religion only served to frighten, but not to practice it themselves. and forgive me if you do not understand very well, is that my native language is not English... and so... you have that read all the posts, haha, I can not post all in one post.
@ikseret ...humans lose all sense of moral good (like the incontinent man) is something that can happen because in most cases the nature of man is caused. However, I think it is wrong to claim religion as their own, then go through life knowing that bloodshed same religion may forgive your sins later; 'If you know that you do something wrong, you always get carried away by your desire, you should be thinking about a book over 2000 years and a God created by your own fear, may save you ...
with this beautiful song, Amalric's army entered the churches of the Albigenses to ransom ... aaa how beautiful religion ¬¬.... Anyway the song is beautiful:)

Holy Spirit, Lord of Light,
From the clear celestial height.
Thy pure beaming radiance give.
Come, thou Father of the poor,
Come, with treasures which endure;
Come, thou Light of all that live!
Thou, of all consolers best,
Thou, the soul's delightful guest,
Dost refreshing peace bestow.
Thou in toil art comfort sweet;
Pleasant coolness in the heat;
Solace in the midst of woe.
Light immortal, Light divine,
Visit thou these hearts of thine,
And our inmost being fill.
If thou take thy grace away,
Nothing pure in man will stay;
All his good is turned to ill.
Heal our wounds, our strength renew;
On our dryness pour thy dew,
Wash the stains of guilt away.
Bend the stubborn heart and will;
Melt the frozen, warm the chill;
Guide the steps that go astray.
Thou, on us who evermore
Thee confess and thee adore,
With thy sevenfold gifts descend.
Give us comfort when we die;
Give us life with thee on high;
Give us joys that never end.
Amen. Alleluia.

Veni, Sancte Spiritus,
Veni, nostri cordium,
