      of course there are not low body fat, but a lot of volume in the belly area is caused by a big stomach from eating amounts of food that could feed 5 people. so the abs stay on top.

      @@jeetsupa4362 I think he meant to say that the internal tissue and guts are big (from for example having to consume a lot of food which expands your stomach etc.) and so they push the abs out. Of course their abs are blocky and thick af so that helps too seeing them through the top layer of fat.

      kelvin bailey not strictly true. Hall has always added bench in his training program. In fact, he was benching loads the year he won the worlds.

    Those 420 singles looked smooooth. I think Thor has a bit more in deadlift but Brian is looking better with the log. Granted this is 25lbs less and not on calibrated plates but still. Just my opinion

      Thor has won every overhead in his last 5 contests, apart from WUS where he placed 2nd. He always peaks very well and looks a lot stronger in competition than training

      Brian is not trying to kill himself before the Arnold. In the last video he posted in his home gym.... last week (I think it was) he stated that that work out was his final heavy work out before the Arnold. Hence these are light work outs.

    You motivated me to get my gym membership again. havent had one since i was 17 i am now 21. I have been working out for the last month and half i dont have a log bar there but i have a a swiss bar that has the grip in the exact same spot as the log. and I did my first ever log lift with that swiss bar 6 workotus ago and i was able to do 160 once on my first ever attempt. I am now just two weeks later doing 190 for reps of 4. I have to say I LOVE THIS LIFT and i would have never discovered it if it wasn't for your channel and your great personality getting me into strongman and i have to say i feel incredibly stronger in general since starting the log lift. Like i feel very strong and more powerful with my entire body thanks for the motivation brian I can't wait to be get into my first competition

      @@Khazandar They don't shave. The hair just fall off their faces. When the testosterone increases, the hair know it's just no longer worthy and fall to the ground, leaving place to slightly stronger, more mature hair, hence the silver pieces in their beards.

    SO fucking impressed with Eddie. A YEAR off from Log and came back and pressed 420lb. Unbelievable strength. I was also super impressed abt how impeccable his form was. 1 year not doing log and the muscle memory kicked right in. Amazing, had me so hyped up

      @@MrTurbo87lx keep in mind I'm sure he's done dumbell overhead presses, incline dumbell, dumbell curls, even military presses with a barbell. Probably some deadlifts too. All these movements are the same movements a log has just with different excersises, so he has trained for the log in some sense. Hes just been doing a bunch of bodybuilding movements and hasn't touched the log ITSELF. So hes just applying those movements back to the log after that time.

      ​@@EvsPersonal Not exactly, while over head pressing is shoulder based, the log requires a lot more tricep than shoulders. You will loose good poundage on a log if your not doing that actual movement but training over head presses will still maintain a degree of strength, so your right in a sense but not exactly.

      Likely has more to do with since Thor and Brian are competing against each other in the Arnold, they're training schedule's are probably very similar so that they're peaking at the right time. Gonna be a good, close competition this year with those two judging by what I've seen in their videos.

      @Lloydy Probably not at his strength level. Ray Williams (powerlifter) is about 400lbs and can do them. Brian Alsrhue (amateur strongman and RUclipsr) is a lean 230lbs+ I think and he does about 400lbs on the grenades (which I think is actually past the world record) I think there's actually an old video of Brian Shaw doing pull ups on his channel. He used bands, but still got it done.

      The513Warning Brian Alsruhe weighs no more than 239 lbs. He’s said it in multiple videos his weight is about 235, he does super heavy weighted pullups though

    Awesome video! Anytime Brian and Eddie get together the video goes off the charts. Everytime the log was dropped at the end of a lift I was waiting for it to bounce off the tires and break something. Where were u guys lifting in the corner of Nick's home office. Lol. I was so hoping for the three of u to try and fit into Nick's Mini Cooper at the end of the video just to see if it's possable. How many WSM can fit into a Mini. Lol. Good luck at the Arnold I hope to be in attendance.
