- Private investigator Connor Spears (Casper Van Dien) reluctantly revisits a past romance when he finds out that the Chinese Mafia has abducted his beautiful ex-girlfriend, Kim (Lexa Doig). Joined by her brother, Rick (Russell Wong), a martial-arts expert, Connor travels from Los Angeles to New York City to rescue Kim. On arrival, the two tough guys must contend with both Chinese and Russian mob factions, but they get unexpected help from Carmen (Francoise Robertson), a no-nonsense taxi driver.

Absolutely not a thriller there’s no structure of thriller genes by any stretch of the type of thriller. Props to the cast for trying to keep up the plot but in my opinion this movie it’s a terrible thriller but an excellent action/comedy.
Should be labeled as action/comedy so the viewers knows that it’s a movie good for some action but mostly for fun entertainment.

I saw a zillion bullets firing all over the place with minimal accuracy.....
Plus no change of magazines. Endless ammo… 😮
To add more to the previous comment: there’s continuous automatic fire and no bullets jamming, no malfunctioning of the slide or the mechanisms in general due to overheating, and no one that’s not supposed to get injured got injured even if the person was in the middle of a flock of flying bullets on the loose…
