I always thought of the vibe of song is as if dancing at an empty 30's dance room by yourself at night while contemplating about your life, having an existential crisis to be precise. Kinda like a modern and nihilistic ballroom song. Such a beautiful and emotional track, my favourite from the album.
Love this band. Saw them live last week and it was amazing as usual. They are currently on a us/Canada tour and anyone who has a chance should see them live.
This song, to me, is about growth, and how that can be painful. In a way, this song is fragmented and brittle, tender like a new green shoot. But also full of the potential for strength, just like a tree can grow right through a stone wall if it wants. René, I hope your friend is doing OK, and I am praying for the people of Ukraine! 🙏
Honestly, every song on Pitfalls is really unique and memorable. I think like normal Leprous is really good, but this album in particular really really special. From what I heard when old guard fans were upset by Leprous' sound being softer than it has been in the past and called in an "Einar solo album", Einar laughed and said that it's weird people say that when this album had the most input from the other band members.
Really liked the opening instrumental. Kind of a polyrhythm thing. Very cool. The lyrics remind me of a King’s lament (“hopeless fight, out of sight, wrong direction ..”). The theme is similar to The Province of the King by the band IQ.
I'm watching, thank you so much and big love to my dearest friend René for such a lovely surprise!!!❤️🥰❤️

Tusen Takk, you moved me to tears, my friend!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
