I tried to do at least one of these Amazon videos a month. I search for some really good deals and pass them on to you guys. Not going to lie… It does benefit our channel as an Amazon affiliate but I think it’s a win-win for everyone since you’re saving some money in the process on everyday tools and items. Thanks for leaving all these comments, I truly appreciate it
I think I see an Empire combination square back there on your French cleat system. I highly recommend their 6" combination square. It's accurate, and for guys who have a 12" combination square they should consider a 6" one. I think they, like me, will end up using that smaller one more often. TIP: I removed the thumbscrew on mine, added a thin nylon washer from the hardware store, then replace the thumbscrew. Slides so much easier for some reason.
You’re very welcome… I do my best to find some true bargains. I know a lot of people prefer going to the specialty stores and getting the namebrand stuff, but there are a lot of us on a budget…🤟🏼
I copied the design of the rockler t track clamps and made a few for almost nothing. I used plywood for the body, toilet bowl flange bolts, and homemade knob. Been using them for about 10 years.
That's a really good list. I agree corner units of measurements are irrelevant. A lot of people use a bottle cap, jar lid, or spray can to make a radius. Metric is fine. Those drum sanding kits are great if one doesn't have an spindle / belt sander. A much cheaper option for beginners. I love T-tracks on a workbench. I don't like dog holes, but to each their own. Those are good clamps. I have those Irwin bits. Awesome. I have a square and t-square fetish; however, I like them to be more rigid. Personal preference. That's an insane price for Freud bits. Individually half as many would cost $150.
Awesome comment… I love when people take time to actually write some stuff that is beneficial to others who read through these. I’ve never measured out my radius for a corner, I use whatever’s handy that has a round edge on it when I measure stuff out. The Irwin bit have worked out just fine for me and the price on the Freud router bits… You really can’t beat that.
The keyhole hangers are a good deal, but I use a keyhole router bit and a jig I made for my projects. Just made a couple of slots a couple of hours ago.
I get it but not everyone has the ability to cut those slots…. If you care to share, I’d love to see some of your projects!! Instagram, Facebook and email if you want to send some photos
Those cheaper prices aren’t a mistake. Those are drop shipped and someone makes a little off each one, but they don’t have to maintain a building or have overhead.
I appreciate you taking the time to comment after watching the video. I’m aware of what all goes into the price of an item… I’ve ran my own business for 26+ years. Sometimes you’ll find a price discrepancy on Amazon that could be easily justified with your reasoning But when I see something priced this low, it’s hard to believe that’s simply because there’s no middle man. If you look at all other Freud products on Amazon, none of them are priced with this much of a discrepancy. Just my POV
@@NuKraftWorkshop some Freud bits are inexpensive, others are much higher. I got a 3/4” cove and a round over to match for a drop leaf table and one was $55, the other was under half that. I picked up 2 straight bits without bearing on them for $7 each. There’s obviously a larger markup in a brick and mortar, but just getting the bits that you need is better for most people. The set of Irwin bits? I’m sure they are better than the harbor freight set.
@liquidrockaquatics3900 yeah you’re always gonna be able to find deals here and there… Not denying that at all. Nor am I denying that there is markup for retail establishments. That being said, I don’t believe the markup is double what someone else is able to sell it for. If they’re selling it for 155, they could not have paid more than 120 for the set and if they’re getting it for 120, woodcraft and rockler (given their size and ability to purchase large quantities, is getting it cheaper). No one marks up an item that much The forstner bit set is great and I’ve had no problems with it… There are certain things I will spend money on and then there are certain things that I just won’t. I buy very little at Harbor freight. The best thing I have ever purchased from them is my dust collection system. Dust collection doesn’t require extreme precision… It just needs to vacuum
i was looking for a diy spindle sander but the sanding drum kit + drill press should be enough for what I do, oh I like the shirt too ( still waiting on the " make it your own ") lol
@@NuKraftWorkshop Most of the time when ordering from amazon, I go back to one of your video's and click the amazon like then place my order and just wondering if you get any credit for things I order even when its not something you had posted. if yes, i will keep doing it but if not then my wife will just order from her cell phone.
Try this link… I just found this and it says there are six in stock. Price is a little different but they are available. It’s still a really good price for a precision marking device like this amzn.to/3C64p0b
@@NuKraftWorkshop Yes, I can understand how it would be a nuisance _for Americans_ (and a handful of others), but you're not watched by just Americans.
@PJRayment yeah… I know. The analytics for RUclips is extremely helpful and detailed beyond anything you can imagine. I can tell exact cities where views are coming from. It’s kind of crazy. That said, I always give my honest opinion on products and that is based on if they’re beneficial for my particular shop or not.
been watching your presentations for a while. good stuff. BUT I disagree with your vote on bit sets. When I first got into hobby WW about 3 yr ago I got a piece of advice that has saved me a LOT of $$$. NEVER BUY TOOLS IN SETS. Buy one at a time as you need them. Look at your drill bit set. Put the ones you use a lot over here and the others over there. You paid for all of them but only use 1/3 of them or less so dont buy tools you will never use
First off, thank you for watching and thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I will agree with that statement, in part. There are some things in my shop that I have not bought in sets, like chisels. I don’t do a lot of hand work so I don’t need a 15 piece set of high-quality chisels for $350. I’m not only do a lot of woodworking but I help my wife out with a lot of craft projects and this forstner bit set actually gets used a lot. But, I hear you 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Awesome info! Thanks for doing the research!

Great tip and yes I use it daily. For the price, it’s more accurate than I’ll ever need.
Thanks for all the great information.
You’re welcome. Hopefully a couple of these items could be put to use out in your shop🤟🏼
Thank you for this video, I will be picking up a few bits

I have the kreg one. Only used it a few times
I’m starting to do more cutting boards and those templates will come in handy when I do.

Yeah this sanding kit has been put to use already and it works just fine. My wife said she would make me a shirt with her cricut machine 😂😂

@rayw1613 yes we get credit for everything you order once you get to Amazon though our links. I really truly appreciate that…🤟🏼🤟🏼
Ugh. Just saw (no pun intended) this video. Amazon states the 12” ruler is NO LONGER AVAILABLE and they don’t know if it’ll be back.

Metric stuff is cheaper because of the economies of scale. It can be sold all over the world and not just in 3 countries that are stuck in the past.
That’s a part of it I’m sure. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
"One downfall is that these are metric..."
How is that a downfall?😛
I like metric (wish we used it like everyone else) but when everything else in my shop is imperial, it makes it tough to convert all the time 😂👍🏼

T-Rule is already unavailable. 6 am EST
Damn… It was still up when I went to bed last night. 😐
@@NuKraftWorkshop You warned us it wouldn't last.
I was snoozing, so I lost out.
keep up the excellent videos
Thank you and check the price again. I saw it again a few days ago
Still unavailable.
Yeah I just checked and it’s at 30$. Still cheaper than the specialty store but not the deal it was 🤷🏻♂️
