Sir in my opinion railway should be managed through public private partnership..private sector should govern the sanitation and service aspects so that delay could be prevented and better management and functioning could be done this will also keep check on corruption cases like ticket theviery and bribe to TCs .
And the Government to keep check on finance management and also balance the fair for tickets and locations accessiblility so that the vulnerable groups will get affordable transport..
Also in remote areas need to ensure connectivity.
Some measures like using cricket checking devices like used in metros can ensure no one is doing malpractices.
So ppp model will benefit both parties,leads to economic growth and success naure better functioning

We cannot privatize railways because it s is backbone for our govt sector. A large section of our society rely on railways rather than other transports. It is cheaper than other transports that's why majority of population prefers it. There are disadvantages too but its privatization is not a solution as it will directly affect the pockets of middleclass.
