I've been involved in music my whole life. Never has it been good for anyone involved. Just ask Mick Mars and Motley crue as of recent. Plus... it teaches current performers bad manners!
I like Upchurch and I like Tom. But Upchurch is nowhere near Tom’s caliber. If Tom responded it would give Upchurch more than he deserves at this point. It really feels like Upchurch is just reaching.
