Hong Kong dont have Army and relies in PRC’s security. Thailand also due to their Army juntams that love to make a coup. Hence, their police needs to be on par with the military
@@OscarChen-c4b probably.But this unit is a mix of officers from other specialist units to allow the Spf greater capabilities the group will have officers with diverse backgrounds and speciality.Exampe the police coast guard special task squadron can teach the STAR or GSAG in ship boarding or boat chasing scenarios

Nope. Combination of STAR, STS, GSAG. it's like how SOTF is a combination of SOF and SWG.
For high level elite police they should be ex military to qualify. (Good that at least the Gurkhas are in there)
