I can tell your a very detailed oriented technician. You included the use of a tool not normally set aside for automotive use but it worked. Anything to help get the job completed! Well done Dave.
I use 1/4" Plexiglass, cut to any size with a table saw for those hard to reach places you need to scrape. The edge can be resharpened with a belt sander to any degree or angle, and when you're done toss them when it gets too small. Cut a 12 inch by 12 inch piece into various widths and sharpen. works great, won't scratch aluminium or soft metals. Stack them and tape together for a better grip and strong enough to apply pressure.
@motorcity mechanic , your video pretty much hands down explain it like alldata just with everything detailed , respect 👏 for you doing all of it completely short cut n , by the book . I actually ejjoy watching all 5 videos with out even scipping or pauding the video , so awd n front wheel drive on the 3.6l is the same method you can do the short or the book ?
I think they might mean phenolic scraper, which looks alot like wood. Still hard to come by though. *edit* Just googled it, you can get them online from aircraft tooling supply stores.
You would think that if they want it cleaned a certain way....the tools would be easier to obtain. I will have to check into the version you mentioned for sure. Thanks for the comment and appreciate you watching
I know this is off topic, but I was hoping you would have some insight that could help me. I just bought a 19' Ram Limited. I have the 12' uconnect. It's losing it's presets and still seams like it's in demo mode or something. I brought it to the dealer and they told me there was an update coming out, but when I talked to uconnect , they said the update was for the 8.4' screen. Can you find out any info that might help me?
Any idea what this would cost at a dealer? Girlfriend has a 2012 200 with the 3.6L. A year ago the CEL came on, with the P06DD code. Dealer replaced the oil pressure sensor, code went away, for a year. Now it's back, intermittently. Do you think it's the sensor again? Mainly short trips on this car. 30K on the clock. Dealer oil changes every six months.
Almost done watching this. Hands down the best presentation, an confidence building video on mechanical work I have ever seen.
A lot of work went into that series and glad to see that people enjoy it.

Much appreciated Wyatt!

I’m anxious to c how I do it at the dealer. U seem to have a much quicker way. When u get a rack at home, we’ll really b rocking and rollin
That would be a dream for sure....one day....maybe. Have to cut down some trees and piss of the neighbors inorder to do that lol
