Nah it's just you know... Everyone begins the serie pretty much at the same time and being a huge fan of both, I don't really like the fact that several different RUclipsrs could be grouped up even though their content, reactions and ideals/morals are completly different...

This is actually my first time here (completely new to the channel - was checking out Resident Evil 7 videos) and I love your personality. Like others have said in the comments - keep doing you and don't change. At the end of the day, everyone comes and watches because they love who you are - and that won't change. Yes there are many gamplays of this out there Cry, but in my opinion, you have lovely and unique commentary, and take the game seriously, along with the story. Plus your jump scare reactions aren't exaggerated.
GLaDOS you should check out Christopherodd his play throughs are just like that and he's very observant and really analytical to the story. Him and cry are my favorite playthriughs of this game so far
No matter how good someone else is, I will almost always watch a Cry playthrough of the game too. I actually pout a bit when a major game is out and I don't see anything from Cry yet. Only ones I skip are ones where I want to play the game fresh, and in those cases I will go back some time to watch how Cry experienced it. Heck, I've bought some games after watching Cry play. He's just so soothing and funny. He needs to get into audiobooks.

Yeah, I have like four or five other people I'm subscribed to playing this and I myself have the game. When I have the game and I'm playing it I don't watch other people, Cry is the exception to that rule.

Ok, I've been subbed for about 5 or 6 years, and this is one of the few channels I'm still subbed to after all this time, but this: "Oh playthroughs, how I want to quit you." just breaks my heart. Cry if you want to quit then I will silently cry over that loss and accept that it was all your decision that you have the right to make. You really shouldn't have to keep going if you don't want to.

Cry asks in the description to tell him if we want him to play this, which is cool and all but I want to watch Cry play games HE WANTS to play. I did want to see him play Dishonored 2 but if he doesn't feel it, it wouldn't be as great. Personally, I get the most satisfaction watching a youtuber play what they genuinely enjoy playing, and what they are excited to play. I hope he does more of that in the future. Plus its likely stressful for him to try and keep up with what his viewers want, and may take the fun out of it for him. Its a job for Cry I know but it should still be something he enjoys.
I agree, if there was an option for choosing to tell him that he should play what he wants, I'd choose that. It's definitely hard for some youtubers, trying to pander to every single one of their fans, and then there are fans that get mad when the youtuber doesn't do things they want. So Markiplier has been playing this game about the same time, and I've been watching his videos; now I come over to Cry and I'm here to watch his. I really love both of their reactions: While in the basement, Mia was screaming and being dragged away, Markiplier would be a big ol' baby and hide and wait for the noise to die down; but here is Cry, running straight into potential danger, and trying to answer to Mia's cries for help. Geez, what a sweetheart you are. xD
SkylarGakuro I'm glad there is a positive opinion for other youtubers playing this game. From what i've seen in the comments, they seem to not "respect"(for lack of a better term) them as much.
This is my favorite let's play of this so far because it feels more like watching a horror movie. Cry isn't a fantastic gamer. That's not why people watch him. He plays the game not like a methodical professional gamer - but like a normal person. It's kind of like how when you watch a horror movie you constantly want to yell at the protagonist for the decisions they make. Sure, it's easy in hindsight to think more objectively and we all like to think we would make optimal decisions. But, in actuality seeing people make realistic mistakes is a human element to it that greatly enhances the experience. I'm glad cry doesn't approach it methodically like he's reading a guide. I think I might play the game that way, but I also think I'd regret it. It's clear cry is enjoying the game in a way that is closer to how it's meant to be - and that's something I would struggle to do and it's something a lot of streamers fail to do. The perfectionist tendencies we've developed as gamers provides a less enjoyable viewing experience. Honestly though this is the only LP of this that is even watchable for me. The loud, obnoxious, yelling streamers with a target audience of very young people is just not something I can stand to watch for even five minutes. It's especially ill suited to this genre. Cry is the only person I've seen so far that doesn't just absolutely ruin every horror game - and quite the opposite in fact. His approach to the game is as an experience, and I as a viewer I am grateful for it. He's the only one I'll watch in this genre. Just as I yell at horror movie protagonists in my head, I'll continue to love watching cry and shouting "No! Cry don't do it!" "No, wait, what was that over there?", and there's no other way I'd like to have it. Edit: In case anyone gets butthurt: When I say he isn't "fantastic" it's only in the sense that he doesn't make flawless decisions and doesn't reach 100% completion through skill. His personality and style make him a different kind of fantastic gamer. And, as mentioned, this style is better suited for this genre than a more technically skilled and methodical approach. In fact, a lack of perfection is really what makes this perfect.
Man, I havent watched Cry do a let's play in well over a year and after all this time I'm glad to see he is still great as ever. I know this game came out months ago but I was scrolling through all the videos I'm behind on and this seemed like it would be fun to watch, nothing nicer than seeing ol Cry play a horror game. He hasn't lost his charm and that smooth voice of his, many other youtubers have changed so much but Cry is still awesome :)

I'm not sure if the voice actor is bad or he just had poor direction when recording. The character gets stabbed THROUGH the hand and says "Mia, wait" like she just angrily brushed passed him without saying anything. He also sounds way too calm on the phone after just applying an ax to his wife's neck.
AweSamBoy I see the point you are making and I agree, for the most part. The game does limit his emotions for a majority of the game. The parts without him speaking.The character shows plenty of emotion when he actually speaks. Like when he meets the deputy on the other side of the window, when first talking to Mia, and with the girl on the phone. He does much better from what I have seen so far. (I've been watching Snake stream it.) But the two parts I mentioned in my original comment just have poor delivery, in my opinion.
Robert Ellis Yeah, that was one of my biggest problems with this game. They tried so hard to make the protagonist more believable and relatable than previous Resident Evil heroes, but his nonplussed reactions ruined the immersion for me. Most of the other voice acting was great though, especially Jack and Margaritte.

Cry lemme tell you a thing- I _hate_ horror, I abhor it, it keeps me up at night even _thinking_ of the music from these kinds of games. But you... you let me watch it without feeling scared, and I love you for that. I dunno, your voice is calming and you talk over the ambience which would normally make me terrified. I'd never pick up a game like this to play it myself, but you make it a lot more bearable to watch. Kudos to you man.

Personally, I prefer thousand times waiting for a week for you to upload a video of a game I am interested in than seeing a youtuber that doesn't captures my attention. It is pretty obvious tbh it's funny I missed it xD I just thought her saying "my loving husband" was just a cutesy girlfriend thing to say like saying "my hubby" etc. Also one thing that made it seem more like his girlfriend is the fact that the voice actor is so unemotionally attached to Mia in his voice after axing her a question ;) (but no seriously no change in voice or that Ethan knows NOTHING about Mia)
You and Mark, Cry. Beyond being two honey-to-the-ears voices that i can't get enough of, you both have a sense of resource management and story breakdown that i appreciate. Fame always set aside, you (and Mark) treat your content, and by association your viewers, like something worth communicating with. You can only do well by us, FAM.
the thing about your gameplays is that they are so immersive because there's nothing else on the screen to distract me. and in horror games like this-this is completely terrifying but also so freaking cool because it feels that I'm watching a horror movie with a friend who makes comments that are not exaggerated or overreactions. Luckycloverz94 they added the horror aspect back which is great!!! I think the main thing that took away the horror in some games was having a companion Ik you have companions at times in this game but not often
cry you sound like you dont want to do this playthrough. I love all of your lets plays, just do content that YOU like. You dont have to do whats popular if youre concerned about your current fanbase, we'd watch you regardless. If you want to grow your channel then youre probably gonna have to sacrifice creativity in favor of doing whats popular but as far as we're concerned; we love ya buddy.

If Cry uploads a playthrough of a current game, I tend to toss the other playthroughs on RUclips aside and just accept that this'll be the only one I care about.
It is beyond refreshing to see a horror game playthrough where the person isn't all "that was a small noise that deserves a HUGE reaction". I mean, don't get me wrong. I like a lot of Let's Players who do that. But Cry's playthroughs are always so chill, and it's nice to see that. Thanks, dude.

I prefer your playthroughs over others for the quality of them. I dont mind this that much, but most lets players tend to talk over cutscenes and talking, you dont. Which I absolutely love! I love your humor, just I genuinely love all your videos. I just think they're real neat

Just read the description and I’m actually really grateful you played this, I saw a rough playthrough someone else did where they skipped a lot of the story and searched it up hoping you did a play through. I know the “golden age” of RUclips let’s play days is pretty much done, but I’ll always like your playthroughs the best. They’re entertaining but not distracting from the main story. It’s been a few years since I’ve watched consistently but your videos will always be the first thing I loved from RUclips and the reason I started cosplaying (as Ib where I excitedly met a cry cosplayer at a con in 2013), do what makes you happy as a creator, even if let’s plays aren’t it. But your cry reads and let’s plays will always have the biggest place in my heart. Ur videos basically defined my middle school interests and friend groups and now here I am writing this from my college apartment in my second year. Funny how time works, all my friends still love u and the memories you created just the same.

Ok, I've been subbed for about 5 or 6 years, and this is one of the few channels I'm still subbed to after all this time, but this: "Oh playthroughs, how I want to quit you." just breaks my heart. Cry asks in the description to tell him if we want him to play this, which is cool and all but I want to watch Cry play games HE WANTS to play. I did want to see him play Dishonored 2 but if he doesn't feel it, it wouldn't be as great. Personally, I get the most satisfaction watching a youtuber play what they genuinely enjoy playing, and what they are excited to play. I hope he does more of that in the future. Plus its likely stressful for him to try and keep up with what his viewers want, and may take the fun out of it for him. Its a job for Cry I know but it should still be something he enjoys.
I agree, if there was an option for choosing to tell him that he should play what he wants, I'd choose that. It's definitely hard for some youtubers, trying to pander to every single one of their fans, and then there are fans that get mad when the youtuber doesn't do things they want. This is my favorite let's play of this so far because it feels more like watching a horror movie.
Cry isn't a fantastic gamer. That's not why people watch him. He plays the game not like a methodical professional gamer - but like a normal person. It's kind of like how when you watch a horror movie you constantly want to yell at the protagonist for the decisions they make. Sure, it's easy in hindsight to think more objectively and we all like to think we would make optimal decisions. But, in actuality seeing people make realistic mistakes is a human element to it that greatly enhances the experience. I'm glad cry doesn't approach it methodically like he's reading a guide. I think I might play the game that way, but I also think I'd regret it. It's clear cry is enjoying the game in a way that is closer to how it's meant to be - and that's something I would struggle to do and it's something a lot of streamers fail to do. The perfectionist tendencies we've developed as gamers provides a less enjoyable viewing experience.
Honestly though this is the only LP of this that is even watchable for me. The loud, obnoxious, yelling streamers with a target audience of very young people is just not something I can stand to watch for even five minutes. It's especially ill suited to this genre. Cry is the only person I've seen so far that doesn't just absolutely ruin every horror game - and quite the opposite in fact. His approach to the game is as an experience, and I as a viewer I am grateful for it. He's the only one I'll watch in this genre.
Just as I yell at horror movie protagonists in my head, I'll continue to love watching cry and shouting "No! Cry don't do it!" "No, wait, what was that over there?", and there's no other way I'd like to have it.
Edit: In case anyone gets butthurt: When I say he isn't "fantastic" it's only in the sense that he doesn't make flawless decisions and doesn't reach 100% completion through skill. His personality and style make him a different kind of fantastic gamer. And, as mentioned, this style is better suited for this genre than a more technically skilled and methodical approach. In fact, a lack of perfection is really what makes this perfect.
Man, I havent watched Cry do a let's play in well over a year and after all this time I'm glad to see he is still great as ever. I know this game came out months ago but I was scrolling through all the videos I'm behind on and this seemed like it would be fun to watch, nothing nicer than seeing ol Cry play a horror game. He hasn't lost his charm and that smooth voice of his, many other youtubers have changed so much but Cry is still awesome :)

I'm not sure if the voice actor is bad or he just had poor direction when recording. The character gets stabbed THROUGH the hand and says "Mia, wait" like she just angrily brushed passed him without saying anything. He also sounds way too calm on the phone after just applying an ax to his wife's neck.

AweSamBoy I see the point you are making and I agree, for the most part. The game does limit his emotions for a majority of the game. The parts without him speaking.The character shows plenty of emotion when he actually speaks. Like when he meets the deputy on the other side of the window, when first talking to Mia, and with the girl on the phone. He does much better from what I have seen so far. (I've been watching Snake stream it.) But the two parts I mentioned in my original comment just have poor delivery, in my opinion.
Robert Ellis Yeah, that was one of my biggest problems with this game. They tried so hard to make the protagonist more believable and relatable than previous Resident Evil heroes, but his nonplussed reactions ruined the immersion for me. Most of the other voice acting was great though, especially Jack and Margaritte.

If Cry uploads a playthrough of a current game, I tend to toss the other playthroughs on RUclips aside and just accept that this'll be the only one I care about.
It is beyond refreshing to see a horror game playthrough where the person isn't all "that was a small noise that deserves a HUGE reaction". I mean, don't get me wrong. I like a lot of Let's Players who do that. But Cry's playthroughs are always so chill, and it's nice to see that. Thanks, dude.

I love Cry's play throughs because he doesn't talk while the characters are talking and I always get really relaxed. I usually watch his play throughs when I can't sleep or I'm stressed. 👍🏼 I've always loved how he plays games because he provides insight about the plot and also talks about funny, random things too. Cry is the first once I go to for play throughs because they're definitely the best.
I prefer your playthroughs over others for the quality of them. I dont mind this that much, but most lets players tend to talk over cutscenes and talking, you dont. Which I absolutely love! I love your humor, just I genuinely love all your videos. I just think they're real neat

Just read the description and I’m actually really grateful you played this, I saw a rough playthrough someone else did where they skipped a lot of the story and searched it up hoping you did a play through. I know the “golden age” of RUclips let’s play days is pretty much done, but I’ll always like your playthroughs the best. They’re entertaining but not distracting from the main story. It’s been a few years since I’ve watched consistently but your videos will always be the first thing I loved from RUclips and the reason I started cosplaying (as Ib where I excitedly met a cry cosplayer at a con in 2013), do what makes you happy as a creator, even if let’s plays aren’t it. But your cry reads and let’s plays will always have the biggest place in my heart. Ur videos basically defined my middle school interests and friend groups and now here I am writing this from my college apartment in my second year. No matter if I'm watching someone else's playthrough, if Cry plays the game too, I watch. Cry's playthroughs have their own special place for me.
Cry, if you want to quit playthroughs, then don't force yourself to do them just because your audience wants you to. If you still want to do playthroughs, then choose games you like, don't feel like you have to jump on the bandwagon.
