  • A quick review over the St. Croix Panfish Series rod and Pflueger President XT reel. Perfect little ultralight creek combo. Waded the creek and caught some fish with it! #creekfishing #creek #stcroix #panfish #texasfishing #sunfish #wading

Fished a 7" SC trout series paired with a size 20 pres xt all last year, and it's a great match. I am jealous of the cork material on the panfish tho😂

For sure, the President XT is a smooth reel, the size 20 is perfect for the lighter setups. For the panfish series rod, St. Croix sure knows how to get it done!

I picked one of these President XT 3000 and was shocked how small it was. It was nowhere near a normal 30 or 3000 size. I now only use it for trout fishing.

That’s for sure, for the price it is a very good reel! I like having a light and easy setup when I’m wading the creeks. It will only get better, April and May are going to be crazy. It’s amazing how much life these creeks can hold.
