I'm a big fan of CN and when Rapido came out with the SW1200 RS they were the perfect candidate to make a CN Sweep. I stared cutting up a Walther Proto GP9 and an Athearns switcher. I called Rapido and managed to get a spare SW1200 cab and a few other details. It's coming along but I had put it on hold. My son Adam and I have been helping out Wade up at the CN Silver Creek Sub layout. I think you have been there, we did a lot of changes even since then. Cheers Matt🍻 Earl
Keep at it when the mood suits Earl. It will eventually get done. Love the long flat you made. Adds a lot of realism to the branch line. Thanks for your support!
Totally, i don't know what kind of paint was used but it definitely didn't hold up well. Maybe CN needs a loco wash and UV wax facility? Personally, I hope they don't change a thing. Love these nasty engines.
Hi Matt, you've been busy! Very creative scenery techniques. I would practice on a test board instead of the cool trailer diorama. Then you can use your best stuff there. Nice scratch work on the hi-rails! I guess you'll add another set of hi-rail wheels for the back axle too? Wow AMAZING work on 4718. I think she is missing some tan or buff on the patch and under the road numbers. And yellow on the steps. And off-white on the brake wheel. But like you said, you need to weather it yet. It's gonna be nice. Installing LED's on locos is way above my pay grade. Agree 100% to work on what you are inspired to work on at the time. You get your best work that way. Hope you don't mind the constructive criticism. All the best - Bill.
Always welcome your comments Bill. 4718 is a tough one as I don't have the best photos. All but 2 leds are in now. Next step, assembling the shell, adding the two side beacons, then soldering it all to the board. Final details will include cab roof stuff and the yellow placards at the air reservoirs. It's a tough build but worth it. Take care.
That tree looks a bit like a few dead cedars in my field. They were still small when a fire got them. The truck and bed mod are looking really good. That shell looks great. Too me wiring the the lights and detail mods is the hard part.
Thanks for your comment. This is where a club would come in handy. I need help with the under the layout wiring. I have no clue. We can't be good at everything but the hobby definitely sharpens our skills at a lot of things
@mattw9667 There's a couple short vids and a short of a heavy engine maintenance shop flipping a single truck/bogey from a 6 axle on my channel. You seem like you have the skill to model something like that.

4718 is excelent
Thank you Syl. Hope you're keeping well
If you want some actual CN pickups from River Point look up PWRS. They still have a couple left in stock. I think they were an exclusive run for them.
Thanks, I'll take a look

Hi, where is the cream colored 'Mobilelease' at 9:29 from? Who makes this model? Thanks !
Hi Wayne. It's a one-off. I made it. You'll have to go back a few videos...
@@mattw9667 OK thanks, I found it |!
Little tid bit for you. 4718 is in Edmonton AB In beltpack service. Was my leader today
Ooo i could have really used some photos of this thing, top to bottom front to back. It's elusive!
