Zhanna Nemtsova and Miriam Fried signed an agreement to establish the Boris Nemtsov Academic Center

  • The Faculty of Arts and the Boris Nemtsov Foundation launch the Boris Nemtsov Academic Center for the Study of Russia.
    On the 17th of January, 2018 Miriam Fried, Dean of the Faculty of Arts CU and Zhanna Nemtsova, Founder of the BNF, signed an agreement to establish the Boris Nemtsov Academic Center for the Study of Russia at the Faculty of Arts
    The Center functions as a research platform, organizes public lectures and academic seminars and conferences that feature prominent Russian and international intellectuals and builds a network with other research institutions that focus on Russian Studies. The Center sets the goal of reaching out to larger audiences through promoting the findings of its research and activities.
    Alexander Morozov and Marek Příhoda are supposed to be appointed Centre’s co-directors.
    The official presentation of the Centre takes place on February, 8 2018 at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University.
    The Boris Nemtsov Academic Center for the Study of Russia starts its work on March 1, 2018.
