Well done! Works fine on your Yamaha, and nice crosspicking. This is an very old British song - but all links tend to go to either The Copper family (Norfolk) or John Martyn.
Wow, I am honored that you responded. Indeed, I did some research on this tune myself, and there's that a capella version by the Copper family, and then Martyn played and recorded it many times. Martyn's version is fairly low-key in terms of the guitar, not much more elaborate than my flatpicked version. I found some other covers of the song, but they referred to either the Coppers or Martyn. It's one of those tunes that could be far older, and it was perhaps handed down and modified orally for God knows how long. Thank you so much for checking it out. This kind of thing fascinates me. And it's such a beautiful song!

cool tune, never heard before
Thank you. It's an old English folk song that I heard John Martyn do. His version is really great if you want to hear it done right.
