I have a mg rover diesel and it won't start I think it's the immobiliser if I don't wate for the diesel light to go out and turn the key quicky it will start and dye with in seconds but if I wate for disel light to go out it won't start and makes a beeping noise and s little circle light flashes red .. I know nothing about cars :( my key fob has never worked since I had it please help
i agree they do .. but the petrol engine on the rovers is very prone to head gasket failure .. diesels how ever don't they are prone to the VP30 fuel pump fail of witch i have had and far less expensive than a petrol gasket fail .. and from reports the petrol head gasket once blown is likely to blow again after renew or start leaking to cause a blow .. diesels are by far the best rover engines in the 25 45 75 range

petrol rover 45s are rubbish you need a diesel.. petrols have the head gasket problem rubbish i have rover 45 diesel trust me the best
